I searched for the thread that was here before and couldnt find it. Anyone gonna see this? I prolly am but damn this movie looks creepy. I mean I know the "people get attacked by killer/s" thing has been done over and over but this looks like its done way better. Just the fact that they actually knock on the door rather then bust in and start killing people is just crazy. I have OCD and Im constantly checking doors and even looking outside to see if anyones out there so this really plays into my fears. youtube.com/watch?v=nCU0k_jbCUo^Theres the theatrical trailer for anyone who hasnt seen it...

I'm sorry, but whenever I see The Strangers I think of Dark City.
But The Strangers does look creepy as hell. At least there are no clowns in the trailer, or else the creepiness factor would shoot up.

"Because you were home" is quite possibly the lamest line from a horror movie ever, IMO
I don't generally go in for em though, so what do I know?

Very Bad Things happen to them for committing the unforgivable sin of being around. Shows the killers quite simply don't care who the victims are and all.

I plan to see this movie. its nice to see a hard "R" movie compared to the pg-13 crap being produced by hollywood recently. It is not based on one crime as the trailer claims but who cares really. The movie combinds elements of the Manson family murders and the unsolved "keddie Murders"(see the site www.cabin 28.com for info). Very Bad Things happen to them for committing the unforgivable sin of being around. Shows the killers quite simply don't care who the victims are and all I heard this line was adapted form the confession of the BTK serial killer. He was asked at one point how he chose some of his victims? his answer They had there doors unlocked.

So yeah, I just saw a TV spot and when the woman had her ear up to the front door to try and hear anything, you hear a whisper:
"...your gonna die."
One of the creepiest things Ive ever seen/heard in a horror movie...

Feels like a Texas Chainsaw rip-off, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm gonna' see it, just for the AWESOME potato-sack mask thingy. God those things look badass.

Creeps me out way to much, and it's thats the reason my door is always locked.

^ Ha ha. This looks like the type of film that's right up my alley. I love being creeped out by stuff like this. I just hope it's good, and it scares me. I may give it a shot, but in the back of my mind, feel like it's going to disappoint me.

It's nice to see an R rated horror flick these days. I'll be there opening night, hopefully with my girlfriend beside of me. I still get just as creeped out by some of the things in the trailer like I did the first time I saw it a couple of months ago. I managed to catch one of the newer tv spots with the "you're gonna die" line... this should be the sleeper hit this summer.

It looks phenomenal, but none of my friends like horror movies. So, I'll probably have to wait until DVD.

It looks like it has a lot of potential. I don't know much about it and I would like to keep it that way.
I'll go see it, but theres a 50/50 chance I'll walk out in the middle of the movie because it may be a typical modren day horror movie suck fest
