When you have watched a TV show for a full season, do you prefer the last episode to wrap up the storylines you've been watching, or do you prefer it to have an exiting cliffhanger to keep you waiting for answers?
I just saw season 4 of Star Trek Voyager and was very disapointed to see that the last episode wasn't the first of a two parter as I love cliffhangers. Provided they leave us with some closure to the preceeding season as well.

I could die any day. Whether it's because of a car accident, heart attack, lions escaping zoo, drying my hair in a bathtub, hobgoblins or Spam.
I want a resolution.

I like a finale to give closure to the seasons arc but open the way for next season as well.

A couple of shows that I watch had cliffhangers, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and Bones.

He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

I don't mind cliffhangers on season finales, but please don't end your entire damn show on a cliffhanger. Like, look at how Seinfeld ended. All four protagonists, spending a year in prison together. And, end of series.

I'd say no cliffhanger. That way if the show doesn't get renewed, there's a resolution.

It was like that with the first run of Jericho. It ended with a cliffhanger, then the next week CBS canceled it. It depends on the type of show as well. I'm more partial to a drama having a cliffhanger, then a comedy. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole "Who shot Mr. Burns?" story. (Not the pay off. that's another rant.) But a co,edy should end there at that season.
