Something about the enthusiasm of that robotic voice just tweaks me out. There's always some little thing about number station broadcasts that kind of give me little creep-out tingles.

There's a lot but one thing I like is reading about famous people meeting other famous people before one of them was famous. Some I can remember are: -A young FDR visiting president Grover Cleveland. Grover said to him "I hope you never become president." -Washington Irving talking to George Washington during the president's 1789 inaugration.
I know there's more but I can't remember right now.

The supernatural (and to a lesser extent, its connection to religion)
Serial killers
Satanism and other "fringe" religions
Actually, that's about all I can think of at the moment. (for the record, I'm not a Satanist or a member of any other "fringe" religion. But people, as a whole, fascinate me.)

The Beast of Bodmin because I thought I saw it when I was younger and so did some of my friends.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I have an on-again, off-again fascination with Melonheads. I don't believe they're real anymore, but they may have been, especially since that damn mansion is haunted. (read the article.)

Animal's thoughts, I just sometimes wonder what they think about when they're just sitting there or why they suddenly decide to get up and do things. I stare at my dog all the time wondering what he thinks about all day, he has very erratic behaviour.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, and I didn't go through the whole thread to check, but I'm fascinated by autopsy pictures, for some reason. Not fascinated as in exploiting, just... curious as to how people look so peaceful after death, no matter the manner of said death.
Also, shoes and clothes left by the roadside or lost on the road fascinate me as well. I always wonder why and who and how. It's odd.

As for autopsies, I have a similar facination. Crime Scene photos. And melonheads, no pictures of how they might look?

Nazca lines also really bother me. Something ain't right. \ This is one I've been wondering, because one of the dominant thoughts in academia about them is that they're prayer or walking lines. Still...

Thoreau (I think it was Thoreau) had a comment about that "All thoughts of a Turtle is in Turtle."

Nice list, Godz. I got to talk to a Vampire one night, and it was an interesting conversation. Okay, she was a chick pretending to be a vampire (I think. Hopefully she wasn't undead), but it was still one of the best conversations I've ever had. Oh god....be careful with those. Just trust me on that. That's okay, it was years ago. And she didn't bite ... she may have nibbled, but she surely didn't bite. She was a cool chick. Most of the witches I've talked to have not been.

I guess wrestling qualifies... and the supernatural... and conspiracy theories... and I do love a bad movie sometimes.
But honestly, the first thing that came to my mind were low-hanging clouds. Ones that are moving at a noticable speed. When I was a kid, I read a lot of science fiction, and I would always look at a cloud going by and imagine that it was a ship of some kind. For some reason that sensation never left me.
What's better is watching the kind of thunderstorm clouds that form funnels... one that's low and slowly turning before you. You can almost reach out and touch it. We don't get tornados up here, but I have seen funnel clouds over our town several times.

Women's legs in nylons. Does that count? I'd say so. And I second it. Also for me: Play-Doh, the way it comes out of the container, in a perfect, pure cylinder. And Federal Thunderbolt civil-defense sirens: A lot of towns had these from the '50s and '60s into the '90s, to use primarily for tornado warnings. There was one on top of the courthouse up the street from where I lived, and it scared the living hell out of me as a kid. The sound is just evil: Really throaty and awful. If I see one today when I'm driving somewhere, I get the shivers and immediately want to get a closer look ... but not too close.
