I can't post the entirety of Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein, so I'll go with this, which just cracks me up.

That whole movie still cracks me up, but that is because Elwes has such a presence.

I am a HUGE Mel Brooks fan. I proudly admit that, at least once a week, I work the line "Do what he say, do what he say" into everyday conversation. Also, Spaceballs, the flamethrower (a real hit with the kiddies) and "What magnificent knockers".
Were it not a violation of all kinds of the language thing as well as very politically incorrect, I'd find a link to pretty much any part of Blazing Saddles, including the "hand cart scene".

Ah yes, another great Brooks movie that, sadly, I often forget to mention. Well done.

I love Spaceballs, and Blazing Saddles. To Be or Not to Be.......Men in Tights....History of the World......High Anxiety. But of everything Mel Brooks has done, I don't think anything has made me laugh louder than Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks' 2000 Year Old Man. Trust me, this is the very tip of the iceberg. youtube.com/watch?v=TB2S4hzYdAkyoutube.com/watch?v=9VEeaU-KLKsHe also narrated a weird little short film called "The Critic," which won an Oscar in 1963: youtube.com/watch?v=DiYjwRZK_NM

The stuff he did in the 70's was brilliant stuff but his work since is awful. Spaceballs is a detestable piece of s*** IMO. Much the same can be said for Robin Hood : Men in Tights

Much the same can be said for Robin Hood : Men in Tights I thought I was the only one on this board that wasn't a fan of Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men In Tights. I do have to admit though when I was back in my guard unit, my Platoon Sergeant asked me if I had found the enemy yet, and I answered back with "We ain't seen shit!" He had seen Spaceballs and had found it to be amusing. Not so much when I later I lead us right into an ambush. But it was a horrible idea to put me on point when I was carrying the M 60.

Clearly Brooks' greatness was in the pre-1980's. Even watching Spaceballs, it PALES compared to Blazing Saddles and the type of humor he was doing back then. But I love Spaceballs because (a) I'm a big Star Wars fan, and (b) it was my 1st exposure to anything Mel Brooks......had it not been for that, I might not have found his older works, or if I had I might not have liked them so much....
