I'm a hyooooge fan of the game Rez. Easily one of my favorites of all time. Finding the game was an ordeal for me, it took me easily 3-4 years to track down a copy. I finally got one around 2006, paid 50 bucks for it.
50 bucks for a game in a Gamestop that's been around since 2001ish.
But, in my eyes, it was worth it.
When I found out about Rez HD a few weeks ago, I was psyched! I thought, oh boy! A new Rez!
I downloaded it yesterday and literally watched the damn thing download, with heavy anticipation.
And when I fired it up...
IT WAS THE SAME GODDAMN GAME I ALREADY OWN.
I figured with the "HD" tag added on, there would at LEAST be slight visual tweaks, but nope. Same damn thing. I guess it's not all bad, more Rez in one's life is always a good thing, I don't have to be as protective of my PS2 copy of it anymore (granted now I don't know what to do with it, I hate to sell it after all that effort), but yeah. I just don't see how one couldn't have added in a few new levels at the very least.
Just a bit of a ranty rant.

Rez is the sort of game that was visually impressive with it's simplicity and it's kinda hard to tell a difference between it in HD and not HD. Maybe I have bad eyes or something, but I've never seen what all the fuss about HD was in the first place.

Well, in the case of Rez, the HD graphics make everything on screen look sharper and clearer, so it's easier to see what's going on and it helps the game's visuals stand out better. The difference isn't that huge, but it's still quite noticeable when you compare the original graphics and the HD version (both of which are included in Rez HD).
Of course, if you expected to get new levels or some other cool bonus stuff like that (which would have been sweet), I can see why you'd be disappointed.

Yeah, I guess with the rather limited description of what I was getting game wise, I was expecting a few more bells and whistles and maybe additional levels to add on to the originals, I just wasn't expecting the exact same game I already owned. But hey, this one has free Trance Vibrator support via the second controller, my girlfriend will be into that. ;D it's not all bad I guess.

If you had a 37" TV and were sitting within a few metres of it, you would know the difference between HD and SD immediately.

Also, in all fairness, that's why you download the demos first.

It was worth it, I just didn't expect to find the extra bells and whistles under "help and options".
I love playing it with the bloom or blur options on, it looks so cool.
Now, just to get another controller and test out that OTHER feature.
