I dunno.
I just picked up Command and Conquer 3 for 360 because it was a game in Gamestop's 50 percent off sale and I hadn't played one since the original or better yet Red Alert, which I loved as a kid. I'd play Red Alert skirmish mode for hours on end and enjoyed it immensely. I always had to be the Soviets though, they had the best stuff.
C&C 3 just feels sort of...annoying. The interface is too different for me and was a pain the ass to figure out. Even the seemingly simple TUTORIAL was a pain in the ass!
Once I got into the swing of things it was a bit fun like it used to be, but I just can't see myself ever being as into it as I used to be. I dunno, time will tell. I seriously haven't played a C&C since Red Alert though, and even that was on Playstation.

I'm just convinced that you just can't port an RTS on to a console and have it feel proper. I've not played it. but a buddy of mine was playing that game one day and seemed real meh about it.

Yeah, I sort of get what you mean. I just never really had a proper gaming PC growing up so everything I played, it had to be on a console. It's not necessarily a bad game. It just doesn't feel the same as it used to. I guess I expected more from it since I've missed so many games inbetween, but it's still pretty much the same thing.

I have it on PC and I love it. I only play skirmish and multiplayer. I never touch the missions lol.

Yeeeah, I think playing the missions is my main problem.
Because they never stfu. Seriously, it seems like you get annoying video transmissions every 4 minutes telling you to do this and that.

I love just building the army and going to battle. C&C3 is beautiful. Have you tried playing it online? Can you do that on the 360? That's probably what I would do. I actually haven't tried it online yet for the PC. The Rocktagon would be insane online lol.

It hasn't been the same since Yuri's Revenge really, but they're still great games.

You know what I miss about C&C? The terrorists. I loved obscuring a few Iraqi desolators in key locations around the map. (not that it matters as crank out tanks is truly the name of the game) Feed me infantry, damn you.
