I realize that was part of their character I guess, but it was downright silly from a kayfabe perspective. They pretty much sucked, im my opinion.

I live very close to Chicago and people would go apes*** over them. They were so rude to their fans too. But that's not the point of the thread and I probably shouldn't talk about them since one of them is no longer with us, no matter how true it is.
I was always amazed by the picture of Quake doing the crossbody. Especially seeing as how it wasn't early in his career. If I'm not mistaken, it was one of his last matches.

It was, in fact, his very last match. I believe 'Shark' attempted a dive between the two rings during the Wargames he was in, as well, for further Tenta agility.
I can't see the picture, but I'm guessing it's the dropkick attempt?

Yeah, I think Hawk tried to dropkick him, and he shrugged it off, then threw one of his own and Hawk just moved

I think I remember him doing a few dropkicks in the early years, to put over the fact he's very agile for a big man.
I swear I remember this happening.

*Begins to feel anger bubbling in soil at comments about LOD*
*Calms down and gets back on track*
That is mighty impressive there Mr. Tenta. I still wish they would have put some Natural Disasters vs. LOD stuff on the LOD DVD. They talked about it for a good while but we never actually got to see any of it.

Good thing your calm. Getting all worked up wont get you anywhere but hurt feelings.
Oh, what a rush.

What's next for 'Quake? I'm sure, out there, somewhere, there's a Quake Star Press.

I have a video, I think it's Supertape 3 it's on, and it's a match between Earthquake and Tugboat. And in the match, Earthquake did an amazing dropkick, which was almost perfect, and ended up getting up to Tugboat's head.
Later in the match, Tugboat did a front dropkick to Earthquake. Lord Alfred Hayes and Sean Mooney were just shocked that these guys were doing that.

I'd love to see a Shooting Star Press into a Banzai Drop...
.. and I'd also love to see a billion dollars delivered to my doorstep.

Ah definitely one of my favorite Natural Disasters matches Right there despite the double count out finish as much as I loved/still love the old days of the WWF, double count out finishes (especially at a PPV)always pissed me off no end And that dropkick is actually pretty sweet for a man of Quakes size.

My wife is doing some cleaning and found some of my last matches in Japan. I just watched the "cross-body" match, which was one of my final matches-possibly my second to last tour. My final match was I believe a six-man tag with Robbie Brookside, and my memory fails for the other wrestlers. Someone asked me about a match against Mike Awesome. I in fact found that dvd with that match on it. It happened during the 2002 Champion Carnival. Unfortunately I can't watch the dvd as it is zoned for Japan. 'Quake

Yay Robbie Brookside! That guy is some kind of worker.
John... I don't know about in the US, but here in the UK multi-region DVD players are only £29.99

Cool, Quake, that was me that asked you about Awesome. Thanks so much for giving me the name of the event. I'm gonna try to hunt down a US copy of it, either in VHS, DVD, or computer video (download) format, and if i'm succesful I'd be happy to send you one.
