Is the Watchmen considered to be a Vertigo title? If I remember correctly, there was a story about HBO looking to make a Preacher mini-series.

I think the new Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon has been great. And the one on MTV, for however short lived it was, was pretty good too. (Though I think that has more to do with MTV being allergic to quality programming ;D)

I thought New Line was done for and being absorbed into WB? (Although I haven't been following the whole ordeal) Not that I know of. New Line has been a subsidiary of Time Warner and is a division of Warner Bros since like 1994. I know that a division of New Line called Picturehouse that specializes in independant movies is shutting down.

The problem DC has is that it's owned by Warner Brothers, so if anything gets made (cartoons or movies, comics, tv series...) it has to go through the higher-ups. And a lot of those higher-ups don't appreciate what goes on in comics, other than comics=money, so more often than not they'll go for maximum profit and minimal cost/investment. There are exceptions of course, like the Nolan Batman Films.
They are working on a Shazam movie. Apparently, the Rock was supposed to play Black Adam (at least the last time I heard).

I've actually enjoyed almost every Marvel cartoon I've seen, including stuff like Avengers: United They Stand. The only one I didn't particularly care for was the Fantastic Four cartoon, and that's because the only thing about them I care about is Dr. Doom.
And didn't Marvel have a hand in the 1980s Transformers and GI Joe cartoons? I coulda sworn I saw their name attached to them, and I know they did the comics for those two series.

And didn't Marvel have a hand in the 1980s Transformers and GI Joe cartoons? I coulda sworn I saw their name attached to them, and I know they did the comics for those two series. yeah they did, from the transformers wiki page Hasbro had previously worked with Marvel Comics to develop G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero for a three-pronged marketing scheme - the toyline, a tie-in comic book by Marvel, and an animated mini-series co-produced by Marvel's media arm, Marvel Productions, and the Griffin-Bacal Advertising Agency's Sunbow Productions animation studio. Given the success of that strategy, the process was repeated in 1984 when Hasbro marketing vice president Bob Prupis approached Marvel to develop their new robot series, which Jay Bacal dubbed "Transformers." Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief at the time, Jim Shooter, produced a rough story concept for the series, creating the idea of the two warring factions of alien robots – the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. To flesh out his concept, Shooter called upon veteran editor Dennis O'Neil to create character names and profiles for the cast, but O’Neill’s work – for whatever reason – did not meet with Hasbro’s expectations, and they requested heavy revisions. O’Neill declined to make said revisions, and the project was turned down by several writers and editors approached by Shooter until editor Bob Budiansky accepted the task. Hastily performing the revisions over a weekend, Budiansky’s new names and profiles were a hit with Hasbro, and production began on a bi-monthly four-issue comic book miniseries, and three-part television pilot. Japanese designer Shōhei Kohara was responsible for creating the earliest character models for the Transformers cast, greatly humanising the toy designs to create more approachable robot characters for the comic and cartoon. His designs were subsequently simplified by Floro Dery, who went on to become the lead designer for the series, creating many more concepts and designs in the future.

Bob Budiansky also created one of my favorite obscure Marvel heroes: Sleepwalker!
Just thought I'd share that.

It's mostly Bruce Timm. Actually, it's mostly Justice Leauge Unlimited being so fricken cool. I mean, that series is up there with Samuai Jack and Futurama as American Animations finest moments. And the other shows were no slouches either. Batman was great, Superman had it's moments, Batman Beyond was great, Static Shock, Zeta and Teen Titans were Watchable. And it inspired "The Big O", which was understandable for three episodes. Next to that, what do you have? X-Men, Spider-man TAS, those Ultimate Avengers DTV and Half of X-Men Evolution. And I say half, because let's face it, nobody liked the High School Confidential segments. Or fricken Spyke. Well okay, once he became armour mutant in the last season, that was pretty cool. And "African Storm" may have been the stupidest hour of American Animation, and I've seen that Episode of Spiderman and his Amazing Friends where Swarm turned people into Bee People and made a Bee hive grow twenty feet with Radiation, and Darkstalkers. You take away those, and it's a good show.

Wasn't V for Vendetta related to DC Comics?
Also, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight can stand up to the majority of the movies that Marvel have done in the past..
That being said, now that Marvel has Marvel Studios..I'm sure they're going to make even better movies.

I guess it could work, if they don't change Plastic Man's costume.
I mean they barely changed Speed Racer from it's original material.

I wonder if WB is gonna give Bruce Timm another tv project. It seems to me like they've trying to replace him. If they don't, I hope Marvel steals him and he could create new shows for them.
