Positive. They haven't blown my socks off like some other bands, but they're good.

They're just okay. (and it would appear in need of some haircuts as is the case with many bands today) Some tunes are snappy, others make me want to throw myself off a cliff.

I adore them. Brandon Flowers is one of the greatest singers and lyricists in recent memory, and they can all write the hell out of some music.
Also, my favourite album of theirs is definitely Sam's Town. I love Hot Fuss...but I just feel ST is way better.

Their first album was really good. The second one was pretty mediocre. Like all the good songs on the 2nd one were released as their singles.

I adore them. Brandon Flowers is one of the greatest singers and lyricists in recent memory, and they can all write the hell out of some music. Say what? All the footage I've seen of him his voice has been weak and he's struggled to stay in tune. I'll just agree to disagree on the lyrics thing, cause I know that's opinion. I think they're average, no better, and that their facial hair is appalling. However, 'Mr. Brightside' is one of the 21st Century's greatest songs so far.

"Somebody Told Me" was probably the best song I heard in all of 2004. I LOVED that song.
The rest of the album was...meh.
And I HATE "When You Were Young", and it bugs the hell out of me that it got into Rock Band and GHIII over "Somebody Told Me". That's like picking "St. Anger" over "Enter Sandman", that is seriously the quality gap between those songs.
And I will say I would rather listen to Nickelback, I personally find them not bad at all.

I'd kick Brandon Flower's teeth in if I ever saw him, and that's not an internet tough guy, I know I could do it.

Oh, also, I DESPISE 'All These Things That I've Done.'
'When there's nowhere else to run, is there room for one more sun?'
...HUH?
'I've got soul but I'm not a soldier...'
...BAKING POWDER?

Yeah, that first one you know they were thinking "Just make it rhyme, the kids will pretend it makes sense and argue with anyone that says it doesn't." And the second line is proof contradicting a huge fad, that word association does not = awesome.

Good, but not their great.
And I am also in the camp that their first album was better(and thats not because I find it cool to think so, even though I was the first person in my home town to start listening to them. f***in trendsetter right here.

I don't think I could despise a band any more than I despise The Killers.
Bring on Nickelback.

I like them. Hot Fuss and Sam's Town are vastly different in terms of sound, but both are solid records. Shows the versatility of an artist.
