Okay so I had this idea that in the Marvel Universe Sentry becomes more and more paranoid that his villain alter ego will break out again and harm Earth so he decides to find a suitable home while battling his villain subconsciousness while in the loneliness it gets more and more intense and harder to control.
While Superman feels more and more alone on his adopted planet and feels he is unable to control violent episodes on Earth so he leaves searching a planet of solitude and abandons Earth.
While on an Ice Planet thousands of light years away in the DC Universe Sentry as the void crosses the universe boundaries and meets with Superman and nearly kills him and flys towards Earth to destroy all of the human population. Superman questions what to do to let himself die as the last Kyrptonian or save Earth as he lies dying he flies to earth to stop this mysterious person he knows nothing of.
Well thats my idea thus far.

Pretty straight forward, but could the Void actually nearly kill Superman that easily?

Pretty straight forward, but could the Void actually nearly kill Superman that easily? Well they say Sentry has the power of a thousand exploding suns so it could be possible and anyway more it's he severely wounds Superman and we all know from Death of Superman that he can never really die.

Pretty straight forward, but could the Void actually nearly kill Superman that easily? hell no. as ludicrously overpowered as Sentry is, he'd still job to fanboy writers.

I just wish they would merge DC and Marvel already, but that probably will never happen.

Interesting idea. I really wish they'd have left Sentry in his mini-series as an entertaining 'What If' type thing instead of bringing him into the regular Marvel Universe honestly though

I just wish they would merge DC and Marvel already, but that probably will never happen. that would be terrible. the stories are complicated to follow as it is. plus it would just lead to everyone whose not an original Avenger or Justice League member getting buried. picture WWF buying WCW only worse.

I thought it was kinda silly to include him at first, but Brian Micheal Bendis handles his character well enough. it helps that they distanced him from being Yellow Superman, though.

Admittedly I haven't checked out his appearances in Mighty Avengers et al since they first brought him 'in the fold' so to speak, so I'm basing my opinion from what I've read. Given your recommendation I may have to give him a second look. Merging Marvel and DC is a horrible idea- outside of that brief Amalgam thing, which was fun.

How about Sentry just dies. That would be a good story. Superman could even be at the funeral. Excellent crossover.

Why are we crossing Superman with a crappy grocery store again? I think I missed the reason somewhere...
