Bruno Sammartino Ted DiBiase Bob Backlund Rick Steamboat Owen Hart Randy Savage Jake Roberts British Bulldogs Mr. T Cyndi LauperI agree with Lauper, I read that without her Wrestlemania wouldn't have been the success it was because of her cross-over appeal.

Yeah, Randy Savage should be but seeing that he slept with the boss' daughter, It is unlikely i love how people repeat internet rumors as if they were fact despite never being confirmed by anyone of note

Since this is a Who I think should be in... 1. Randy Savage. We all know it's time. 2. Million Dollar Man 3. Diamond Dallas Page 4. Owen Hart (sad entry) 5. Demolition. Same as Savage. It needs to happen. 6. King Kong Bundy. 7. Bob Backlund. He's gonna be in one of these years. 8. Mr. T. If William Perry and Pete Rose are inducted, T should be too. Save Flair/Steamboat/Anderson for next year. I'm not sure about DDP, the E treated him like s*it when he came. He's a former 3 time WCW champion and they just gave him the European title (I may be Euro. but I know that its just for people who are going after the IC belt). Ted Dibiase for HOF or we riot. Bundy, possible. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAHHHHHHHHH, Randy and Demolition for HOF too.

To the mods, I think it may be about time to start the pinned HOF 2008 thread. I guess we can wait till after the new year or after the Rumble. We normally do start one up after the Rumble. (Which coincidentally is the day my "Induct the Fink into the Hall of Fame" campaign starts). (Well, I put him in my sig anyway).

To the mods, I think it may be about time to start the pinned HOF 2008 thread. I guess we can wait till after the new year or after the Rumble. I know Flair is heavily rumored, but I would rather them wait unless his last match is before Wrestle Mania. If Flair retires before Mania, then I would certainly like to see him inducted this year. I'd like to see some of the following get in, though obviously I wouldn't want them to all get inducted in the same year: -Bruno Sammartino (unlikely) -Randy Savage (unlikely) -Owen Hart (unlikely) -British Bulldogs/Davey Boy Smith (Davey Boy Smith is more likely to get in alone) -Rick Steamboat -The Von Erich wrestling family -Bob Backlund -The Brisco Brothers -Mae Young -The Funks (probably wouldn't happen if the Von Erichs get inducted) -Ted Dibiase -The Fabulous Freebirds -The Legion of Doom/Road Warriors -Rick Rude -Arn Anderson/Four Horsemen -Yokozuna Yeah, Randy Savage should be but seeing that he slept with the boss' daughter, It is unlikely, but they said the same thing about Bret Hart when Vince screwed him over. Owen Hart, his career was too short and I wish he had at least one title run before his death. Sammartino is a good one, he held the title longer than anyone else. Steamboat, definately. DBS is another good one, although I mightn't see that happen for some time. Maybe in the next few years. Von Erich's, thats on my wish list. Mr Backlund is also likely, I'm not sure about Rick Rude or Yoko and the Legion of Doom...definlitely. I'm also hoping that Dibiase is going into the HOF. Owen Hart's career was too short? He started out in Stampede in 1986, and wrestled 13 years. Regarding his titles and accomplishments, he had a pretty big list. For instance, listed on Wikipedia: * New Japan Pro Wrestling * IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship (1 time) * Stampede Wrestling * Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship (1 time) * Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship (2 times) * Stampede International Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Ben Bassarab * Stampede Wrestling Hall of Fame [42] * United States Wrestling Association * USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship (1 time) * World Wrestling Federation * WWF European Championship (1 time) * WWF Intercontinental Championship (2 times) * WWF Tag Team Championship (4 times) - with Yokozuna (2), British Bulldog (1), and Jeff Jarrett (1) * King of the Ring (1994) * Pro Wrestling Illustrated * PWI Rookie of the Year award in 1987 * PWI Feud of the Year award in 1994 - vs. Bret Hart * PWI Editor's Award in 1999 * PWI ranked him # 66 of the 500 best singles wrestlers during the PWI Years in 2003. * PWI ranked him # 84 of the 100 best tag teams of the PWI Years with Davey Boy Smith in 2003. * Wrestling Observer Newsletter * Best Flying Wrestler award in 1987 * Best Flying Wrestler award in 1988 * 5 Star Match: vs. Bret Hart (WWF SummerSlam 1994, August 29, 1994: Steel Cage match) * Feud of the Year award in 1997 - with Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Davey Boy Smith, and Brian Pillman vs. Steve Austin. And from Obsessed With Wrestling: # Stampede International Tag Team title w/Ben Bassarab defeating Duke Myers & Kerry Brown (August 9, 1986); # British Commonwealth Mid Heavyweight title defeating Les Thornton (October 25, 1986); # North American Heavyweight title defeating Makhan Singh (January 19, 1987); # North American Heavyweight title defeating Makhan Singh (April 10, 1987); # IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title defeating Hiroshi Hase (May 27, 1988); # USWA Unified World Heavyweight title defeating Papa Shango (June 21, 1993); # WWF King of the Ring 1994; # WWF Tag Team titles w/Yokozuna (April 2, 1995); # WWF Tag Team titles w/Davey Boy Smith (September 22, 1996); # WWF Intercontinental title defeating Rocky Maivia (April 28, 1997); # WWF Intercontinental title defeating Farooq -tourniment- (October 5, 1997); # WWF European title defeating Goldust (January 26, 1998); # WWF Tag Team titles w/Jeff Jarrett (January 25, 1999); Considering he was there during the major changes from the territorial system to the major national promotions, he has a pretty good track record in North America. Holding an IWGP title in Japan is no small feat either. Just because he didn't hold the WWF/E top tier title at some point doesn't make him unworthy of the honor of going into the HOF.

I'm going to name someone who I don't think has been mentioned by anyone, yet, and that's Tully Blanchard. He was a big part of the IV Horsemen, NWA Tag-Team champion, WWF Tag-Team champion, NWA Television champion and NWA United States champion.

I don't know if the WWE put him in the hall of fame yet, but I think they should put in Haku. I mean he was part of one of the most powerful tag team in the late 80's/ early 90's with Andre the Giant.

The Rock-It's Florida, he deserves it, and The Rock being back at Wrestlemania would be huge.

Nobody's mentioned Earthquake yet.
Also, I think Woman has a good chance of getting in.

Nobody's mentioned Earthquake yet. Also, I think Woman has a good chance of getting in. You're just saying that because she got murdered this past year. Plus, I think putting Woman in the Hall of Fame would just be a slap in the face to Chris Benoit, not to mention she wasn't Hall of Fame-worthy to begin with.

Don't know what kind of terms he's on with WWE management, considering he left the last time due to a confrontation with JBL and other factors. Now, while that was a while ago, he has made a pretty significant appearance on the Horsemen DVD set. Hopefully he'd be willing to take an evening and make an appearance if they did offer him a slot.

Dumb Question, but Is Honky Tonk in? He did hold the IC title for like the first 10 years of my life

Other than people that have already been mentioned, I say Steve Austin. I know he's an Attitude era guy but he's basically retired now. He was a great performer and the biggest moneymaker since Hogan. Plus, WMXXIV is the 10th anniversary of Austin winning the belt for the first time so it's good timing.

Started in 1983 and managed the following (among others): 2 Cold Scorpio Arn Anderson Butch Reed Ron Simmons Dean Malenko Shane Douglas Kevin Sullivan The Sandman Ric Flair Rick Steiner Scott Steiner One of the more prominent valets of the late 1980s and 1990s, and was affiliated with the Horsemen off and on from 1990 till she left WCW in 1997. Not bad credentials, which would likely at one point get her in. And in so far as your remark about it being a slap in the face of Chris Benoit... That being said, I doubt she'll be inducted anytime soon. The Benoit tragedy is still pretty touchy.

Right now, the only mortal lock in my eyes is Ric Flair.
As for wants: Earthquake (did a lot in the late 80's to early 90's, essentially taking over where Andre had to leave off) Owen Hart (likely never happening due to his wife Martha's hatred for Vince) Randy Savage (a real toss-up, especially since any hatred (if there was any) between Hogan and Savage has melted away, and Vince...... well, Linda could possibly tell him to do it) Legion of Doom (should be in. One of the single best tag teams of all-time, bar none. If inducted, they will be either introduced by Paul Ellering or Sunny (manager during their 2nd WWF stint)) Howard Finkel (how he has been snubbed year after year boggles the mind) Ted Dibiase (same deal as Finkel)
Those are all that I can think of right now.

I think Steamboat's a given,or at least it should be.
I think it'd be cool to see them induct the Von Erich's and the Freebirds in '08.
I read somewhere that Bruiser Brody's widow has signed a legends contract with WWE,if that's true he'll be in.

Rick Rude- One of the most over heels in the early 90's in WCW and has held just about every major title.
Barry Windham- Great worker and held a ton of major championships.
Dr Death Steve Williams- The last couple years, the WWE has inducted individuals who had success outside of the company and one guy that has had a ton of success is Doc.
Sting- The only major name from WCW to have never worked for WWE. Multiple time World Champion, Tag Team Champion, US Champion, TV Champion.
Eddie Gilbert- A guy who let his demons get the best of him. He was a real good worker and held numerous titles.
