Give me your opinions on who should be in the 2008 Hall Of Fame. Tell me who and why they deserve a plaque and a place on the home where the legends have passed the final furlong and crossed the finish line into being a true legend.

Shawn Michaels should be considered, (maybe) Kane, and definitely the legendary Undertaker 15-0 Wrestlemania
-Nah not Kane, but Ric Flair has been around so long he should be nominated because he is the most numerous championship title holder.
-Looking at some of the arguments about Brian Pillman I think he should be considered also. -Also a good point has been made about Owen, so him to.

To the mods, I think it may be about time to start the pinned HOF 2008 thread. I guess we can wait till after the new year or after the Rumble. I know Flair is heavily rumored, but I would rather them wait unless his last match is before Wrestle Mania. If Flair retires before Mania, then I would certainly like to see him inducted this year.
I'd like to see some of the following get in, though obviously I wouldn't want them to all get inducted in the same year:
-Bruno Sammartino (unlikely) -Randy Savage (unlikely) -Owen Hart (unlikely) -British Bulldogs/Davey Boy Smith (Davey Boy Smith is more likely to get in alone) -Rick Steamboat -The Von Erich wrestling family -Bob Backlund -The Brisco Brothers -Mae Young -The Funks (probably wouldn't happen if the Von Erichs get inducted) -Ted Dibiase -The Fabulous Freebirds -The Legion of Doom/Road Warriors -Rick Rude -Arn Anderson/Four Horsemen -Yokozuna

Owen Hart, his career was too short and I wish he had at least one title run before his death. Sammartino is a good one, he held the title longer than anyone else. Steamboat, definately. DBS is another good one, although I mightn't see that happen for some time. Maybe in the next few years. Von Erich's, thats on my wish list. Mr Backlund is also likely, I'm not sure about Rick Rude or Yoko and the Legion of Doom...definlitely. I'm also hoping that Dibiase is going into the HOF.

Demolition, they held the tag team belts longer than anyone in WWE history back when they meant something.

Sounds like the HOF could be based around Ric Flair, if he does retire around WM time.
-Ric Flair -Ricky Steamboat -Ted Dibiase -Arn Anderson
all seem like legit possibilities
Finkel, the Freebirds and Von Erichs would be good choices too.
And of course, Randy Savage is the huge question mark. For J.R.'s sake, I hope Vince decides to put him in.

- Ric Flair: If the rumors are true, then this is a lock. (Inducted by Arn Anderson)
- Road Warriors: The quintessential badass tag team. They carried the tag division in three seperate organizations in less than a decade. (Inducted by Paul Ellering)
- The Fabulous Freebirds: Changed the entire heel genre. An obvious nomination. (Inducted by Kevin Von Erich)
- Ricky Steamboat: The WWE has rode his match at WrestleMania III for over 20 years, but his career is so much more than that. (Inducted by Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania XXIV)
- Ted DiBiase: I feel like this one is a mortal lock. He's been snubbed for several years, and judging by how often he's been seen on WWE programming (and for the way he protected the industry during the Benoit story), he deserves it now more than ever. (Inducted by Mike Rotunda)
- Gordon Solie: The most deserving man not currently in the Hall of Fame. He's the Walter Cronkite of professional wrestling. (Inducted by Jim Ross)
- Howard Finkel: "The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the World Wrestling Federation Championship!" has never sounded sweeter than when it came from the Fink's voice. (Inducted by Chris Jericho)
- Mike Tyson: Every year they need one celebrity induction, and why not? Tyson helped make WrestleMania XIV a mainstream event, and was part of the fuel that ignited the Attitude Era. And you know he'd take the invite. I mean, he's got to have no money left. (Inducted by Stone Cold Steve Austin)

Honestly, I'm thinking the 2008 Hall of Fame will end up being realistically:
*Ric Flair (They are building up his retirement angle, probably leading towards his final match at Mania) *Ted Dibiase (His involvement with RAW XV shows that he is still on good terms with the company, and with his new book, it is pretty good publicity) *Brian Pillman (Really started the cruiserweight division in the United States...Truly deserves an induction) *Mike Rotundo (If they are inducting Dibiase they might as well induct IRS...They have been using him alot over the past year) *The Road Warriors (The Tag Team induction) *Mae Young (Due to her affiliation with Moolah)

I don't think they should start inducting attitude era guys until Mania 25.
If Dibiase doesn't get in next year I'll eat my hat.

Owen Hart has to go in at some point, surely? You can talk all you want about popularity and title runs - but the fact remains that the guy DIED in a wrestling ring while trying to entertain wrestling fans. If that doesn't entitle you to a place in a Hall Of Fame which is, let's not forget, occupied by such notables as James Dudley and Pete Rose - then I don't know what does.

Since this is a Who I think should be in...
1. Randy Savage. We all know it's time. 2. Million Dollar Man 3. Diamond Dallas Page 4. Owen Hart (sad entry) 5. Demolition. Same as Savage. It needs to happen. 6. King Kong Bundy. 7. Bob Backlund. He's gonna be in one of these years. 8. Mr. T. If William Perry and Pete Rose are inducted, T should be too.
Save Flair/Steamboat/Anderson for next year.

Abdullah The Butcher-One of the Kings of Hardcore 6. Owen Hart-great wrestler who passed too soon 7. Terry Funk-Another Hardcore Legend
