Jeff has been getting the strongest face push this side of John Cena for almost a year now. And he has the crowd solidly behind him.
For once I don't think (or at least I hope it's so) WWE are just buying time while waiting to reinstate Triple H on the throne (still not forgetting Cena will be back).
This isn't Jericho v Cena or Rude v Warrior... Jeff Hardy is probably one of the few faces who got over almost by himself, building up on a standard "welcome back" push. WWE aren't stupid, and will most likely capitalize on his current popularity.
I can totally see him winning the belt at the Royal Rumble. Delaying his eventual win would endanger the whole project.

No. Remember--he's still the IC Champ. You really think he'll STAY OVER if he held both major singles belts simultaneously? They can always do an ultimate warrior and have the IC Title put up fro grabs in a tournament. J Hardy is too good for that belt now.

I think Jeff will drop the IC Title the week before the Rymble to Kennedy and pulls the big win over Orton and then drop it bak to Orton at No Way Out.

If Jeff wins, it'll be a transitional reign, but I'd like to see it.
But as it actually happening, I'll believe it when I see Jeff win.

No.
WWE's set in stone that it will be Orton vs HHH at Mania.
If it were about gauging who's over and who's the hot draw. Then Hardy would have a shot.
But WWE is all about their hand picked golden boys.

WWE usually is very quick to put the title on the most over guy (Cena,Batista) and since it would be crazy to put the title on Hornswaggle (however,I wouldnt put it past Vince) the 2nd most over person on the roster right now, then Hardy would probley get the title but not at the rumble, probley in a rematch.

I'm not liking his chances. Though I'm willing to say maybe now instead of "uh.....no".

yes, and Orton will cost Jeff the IC belt before the rumble because of one reason: Orton has already faced every main event top fcae on raw, who is healthy and defeated them, with the exception of Jeff

There's no way Hardy leaves RR with the WWE belt with the IC belt also around his waist.
If hardy loses the IC belt in the next few weeks, I expect hardy to win the belt but then lose it right back to orton at NWO, then lose his rematch on the ensuing raw.

No. WWE's set in stone that it will be Orton vs HHH at Mania. How so? I mean, Triple H is currently stuck in a midcard feud with William Regal, and won't even be in the Royal Rumble. So unless WWE decide to put him in a program leading to WrestleMania starting around No Way Out, with the shortest build-up time in history, I don't fancy Triple H's chances of headlining WMXXIV. Besides, Cena's expected back shortly after WrestleMania, so Triple H as champion doesn't fit well with Cena's comeback. The only thing set in stone now is that Cena will take his belt back pronto.
