I hate to fantasy book and I know it'll never happen, but...
The Royal Rumble rolls in and JR mentions at the beginning of the show that Jeff Hardy has not shown up and more details will be given when available.
The show goes on and when it's time for Orton's title match, Vince sees HHH sitting in the back and Vince looks pissed off to do it, but puts HHH in Jeff Hardy's place. HHH goes on and beats Orton and a SD/ECW guy wins the Rumble.
On Raw, there's no still no sign of Jeff Hardy. JR does a brief mention again as INTRAWEB rumors speculate that he hasn't shown up to either show and people begin to figure he flaked out "again".
The following week, a battered and bruised Jeff Hardy arrives, stating he was jumped by HHH. Vince demands HHH come to the ring only to hug him, glad to see the Cerebral Assassin back.
Jeff Hardy, among others (Orton, HBK, Kennedy, Umaga, Jericho), enter the Elimination Chamber and Jeff Hardy gets the duke and gets his 'Mania match against HHH.
Jeff Hardy then defeats HHH in the ME and the WWE actually takes a risk and sees what happens with Jeff as champ.
Anyway, thoughts?

I say Sycho Sid comes out of nowhere, powerbombs everyone including "onlooker" Randy Orton. Sid then picks up the WWE title, looks at it and screams "Stop mocking me!!!". He then proceeds to kill the title by chewing on it and ends up rolling around on the ground fighting for his life against the title as Raw cuts to commercial. When Raw returns, no mention of this is ever made and the show continues on.

But HHH doesn't appear. Cue to backstage: HHH is beaten up! Vince turn around to the titantron when suddenly Damien Demento appears and beats him up. Demento then rants about how he didn't ask for this and how all the fans are a bunch of pansies just like Jeff Hardy. HHH called him a jobber and see what he got. All of WWE will now be replaced by rants of Damien Demento.... stupid idiots!

that angle would completely kill orton. Orton could get the rematch at No Way Out instead of being in the Chamber. However, I don't like this idea. Jeff Hardy's time is NOW, not in a few months. Give him the win at Royal Rumble and build up BROTHER vs. BROTHER for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. Jeff vs. Matt would be HUGE and it's yet to be done at the level they are at now.

How about a triple threat between orton, hardy and HHH at WM....Hardy pins Orton, and HHH could get a match the following month saying how he never was pinned

How about a triple threat between orton, hardy and HHH at WM....Hardy pins Orton, and HHH could get a match the following month saying how he never was pinned Wrestlemania is the place for classic one on one matches for titles. Let's not forget what Rey vs. Angle could have been before they made it a Triple Threat Match. (Not knocking Orton, as if it was Orton vs. Rey or Orton vs. Angle it would have been a classic as well. I'm just knocking triple threat's at Wrestlemania when it involved the WWE or World Heavyweight title). And before anyone brings up when Benoit won, I still think it would have been more of a classic if it was a one on one match.
