Andy Kaufman.
And not in the celebrity wing with the Fridge and Pete Rose, but in the wrestler's HOF.
Good idea/bad?

Good idea, although, the only question is, how relevant is he to today's fans? I'm 21 and my generation BARELY knows who he is. How would this benefit Vince from taking the time to honor Andy if, let's be realistic, none of his target fan base knows who he is?

I'll argue that William Perry is even less relevant than Andy Kaufman. And if William smurfin Perry can get in the Hall, Andy might as well be in the Celebrity Wing too

I didn't think of that. Sad how HOF inductees are determined for not what they meant to the business in the past, but what their marketebility to the young 'uns of today is.

I'll argue that William Perry is even less relevant than Andy Kaufman. And if William smurfin Perry can get in the Hall, Andy might as well be in the Celebrity Wing too Perry was in a battle royal or two at most. Kaufman was the center of one of if not the biggest angle in Memphis wrestling history, an angle that spanned well over a year. That gives Kaufman more credibility than to be in the same wing as some ball player or d-list celebrity that popped up on a wrestlemania or two as a lark and quick paycheck. An induction in the celebrity wing would be an insult considering that, for all intents and purposes, Kaufman was one of the boys AND one of the biggest heels of the early 80's.

Andy should've been the first celebrity to be inducted. I'll definitey agree that he's long overdue of an induction.

Great idea! Lawler can do it for him. They clips from the past and talk about the movie, man on the moon. Which is a great movie btw.

IMO, only three celebrities should be in the wwe HOF: mr. t, donald trump, and andy kaufman.

Andy Kaufman should most definitely be in the HOF as should Randy Savage. Wish Vince and his braintrust could figure out a money making angle to bring Savage back so the Macho Man's in the HOF and fans get a DVD set that wouldn't just be a hatchet job. While I'm wishing for things that aren't gonna happen I'd like to see Flair wrestle Rhodes as their final career match. Flair could go into the creative end (God knows they need it) after an entertaining match. He's been an embarassment for too long. He can still profile but it looks like the picture of Dorian Gray. I only say this because I've been a long time fan and age has caught up with the Nature Boy in a big way.

No, he'd have to be in the celebrity wing.
And the induction ceremony needs Tony Clifton and Jerry Lawler getting into a fight onstage.
Anything less than this would be a racist atrocity.

King was just inducted last year. I mean, the two guy's careers are intertwined.

I'd sell the house to see Tony Clifton induct Andy Kaufman. I'd sell my soul if Andy came out of hiding and revealed it was all a hoax.

Like an older one when he died, and a newer one hosted by Bob Saget. They tended to include A LOT of the memphis stuff so i LOVED it.
