So we've all become accustomed to Vince's over-acting when portraying the Mr. McMahon character, snarling voice and all, and it's usually apt to the plotline.
But I was wondering...does anyone else long for the days when he appeared on television in a more..."classy" manner? Y'know, like from the era when he was just on camera as one of the announcers and didn't acknowledge his backstage pull.
I was watching the "Black Saturday" episode of World Championship Wrestling on 24/7, and I couldn't help but think to myself, "Gee...whatever happened to that Vince? Why does he always have to act like some kind of rabid animal now, with the "rrRRAAuublehhyuurrFAAIIREED" stuff?"

i was thinking similar when watching raw XV. they show the first raw, where vince screams "welcome to monday night raw!", then vince does it again at the top of the show, but he adds in about ten gallons of phlegm.

I'm used to the over the top phlegmatic Vince, once gets me is when he changes accents to some cartoony southern version mid sentence when he's angry.

Psycho southern minister Vince was my favorite version. I remember him doing the Cutting Edge on Smackdown in that voice. Awesome! To bad he had to blow up and end it to quickly.

See if he'd maintain it, even that'd make a lil sense..but lately, he'll just slip it in for a sentence or to than slide right back into corporate vince. He doesn't have rabies, he's a multiple personality.

Yeah its annoying. But his fake announcing voice where it sounded like he was out of breath all the time, was way more annoying...
