Sorry about the lack of details, but I'm a little foggy from last night.
There was a talent scout in attendance tonight. He was the only one in the room wearing a sport jacket. That, and everyone was wearing something new tonight.
Johnny Punch didn't jerk the curtain tonight. I was amazed. He did, however, lose to Ox, who was sporting new tights. He did an "I'm the greatest wrestler in OVW, and if I can't beat you in 5 minutes, you win." thing. Won in 3:59.
First match was Cassidy James and...don't remember who. Don't even remember who won. I just remember that James has a lower back tattoo, which is really gay on a dude.
Jay Bradley freaking rules. He really works the crowd into an uproar. Typical match. Back and forth...LARIATTOOOOO for the win. It's how men finish their matches.
Mike Kruel did a great job working over Lupe's arm and shoulder. Employed 100 different variations and techniques over the course of about 7 minutes, and then Lupe stopped selling, and won by sunset flip. I expected better, but Juicy Lupe hasn't been around very long. I just wish he'd stop using Stranglehold by Ted Nugent as his entrance music. I like that song.
James Curtis picked up the win from Hammer via DQ run-in from Cassidy "Tramp Stamp" James. They went into the crowd, almost runinng over my buddy.
Women's tag match: Melodye and Katie Lea beat Roucka and Josie. Boobs flying everywhere, folks. Roucka looked damn fine tonight, even though she wasn't wearing her ass tights. Here's the best pic I got of her. Not bad for a camera phone.
Paul Burchill and Disco Stu beat the Mobile Homers in a completely ridiculous, totally suspend your disbelief match, in that the Homers were giving the champs a run for their money for most of it. I was done with this match 2 minutes in.
And in the main event, Shawn Spears loses to Squeak Sydal. Squeak countered a grappling pin attempt from Spears. Squeak's a pretty decent mat technician, in addition to being really springy. Didn't get his SSP off, though. Spears was showing epic heel chops. After the match, Spears went for Squeak, and got brained with the belt. He was still in the ring selling it while the crowd was heading out of the arena. When about half the crowd had left, he gets up and staggers out all glassy-eyed. It was great.
Conspicuously absent tonight: Atlas DaBone and Colt Cabana. Methinks they were trying out somewhere this Saturday night.
