Vince McMahon has cancelled the Randy Savage and Sting DVDs that were listed for a 2008 release. They were on a list of releases distributed to outlets by Kevin Dunn's TV department, included because Vince at one point told people they didn't have enough major name DVDs on the horizon. Savage and Sting were the obvious exceptions so they were listed but of course Vince wants nothing to do with the former and the latter is contracted to TNA.

I understand with Sting. He works for the competition and it's kind of goofy to make a dvd for someone thats never worked for you.
But what the hell did Macho Man do to piss of Vince so much? He can make Warrior and Bret Hart dvds, but not Savage?
I'm beginning to think the Stephanie conspiracy is true.

I understand about Sting, but MACHO'S CANCELLED? And they made a DVD about Warrior! Hypocrite!

I'd rather they didn't do a Macho Man dvd, because odds are it would be on the same lines as Waryahs.

I knew it was too good to be true with the Savage DVD. As Spike said, at least they won't put out a burial DVD like they did with Warrior.

It's funny that every other news story is immediately marked as smark bait, yet this story is automatically deemed as true.

Is it me, or it sounds like it was more like a Kevin Dunn's addition to the list (following Vince's complaints about lack of "big names"), rather than an official idea to realize Sting and Savage's DVDs?
Anyway, Sting was an odd choice, as he never worked for WWE, so it'd be hard to promote on WWE TV. Macho Man was a better idea, but considering they are in very bad terms, I'd rather NOT have a "Macho Man, road to Madness" hatchet job.

Imbecile. Throw your own money away to hold a grudge. I thought money was the one universal truth for Vinny Mac. Newz!?

It's funny that every other news story is immediately marked as smark bait, yet this story is automatically deemed as true. Well, this one does make sense. Sting is under TNA contract, and would presumably be unable to participate in it's production or promotion, let aside the fact that promoting a guy who works for another company is madness. Story consistant with known facts. It is also well known that some kind of bad blood exists between Savage and Vince. Whatever the reasons, this too is consistant with known facts. Of course, he could just cannibalize that old WCW tape.

Well, crap. This really stinks, especially given what I had seen on Amazon for both DVDs looked impressive.
Means the E has nothing but PPV DVDs coming out after the Edge DVD in November.
Very disappointed, especially over Savage. I was so looking forward to seeing the match listings.

It's funny that every other news story is immediately marked as smark bait, yet this story is automatically deemed as true. I was thinking the same thing. Although I thought there was never anything solidly announced for it anyways, that it was all rumors that both would be released. So, it wouldn't surprise me if both rumors came from the same place, conveniently enough.
