Kane should win the rumble & then take the title at WM. He is more deserving of the title then anyone who has held the title on either SD or Raw in the last 12 months with the exception of Edge. Kane deserves this as a great foot note to an already stellar career.
I would have him enter late & clean house as he usually does the only difference is unlike previous years he isn't actually stopped. Then until WM Edge can hide behind Vickie & the Edgeheads until he can't avoid Kane at the big dance. I think they have the potential for a great Main event too.

It would be cool, but I think Kane himself just doesn't want the push at this stage of his career. Well deserving though.

No thanks. I don't want to see Kane challenge for any title at Mania, really.
Give him a World Title reign later in the year, sure, but don't give him Rumble and Mania because he's been around so long without getting much glory.

They should totally repackage him as a monster with a new outfit and possibly bring back the mask - trade him to Raw for someone.

no, he doesn't...he's finished for 3 or 4 years, lets face the truth. It's sad because he was so impressive with his mask, but he was packaged to be a gimmick character, to feed the Taker and Austin for a year or two. Awesome feud by the way. But now, they don't know what to do with him, so basically he squashes jobbers and jobs to bigger stars and that's all.

Not anymore.
After so many years of putting over everybody and their mom, Kane has, sadly, no business holding a World Title. It's a shame, because with a nice 4-6 months push, they'd easily re-establish him as a threat, possibly for the ECW title. But it seems like Glen Jacobs himself doesn't care too much about getting a push, so ok...

Kane just kinda bores me now. He's been really stale for a few years.

That ship sailed a long, long, LONG time ago.
Which is a shame, but it's no real fault of Kane. More about the way he's booked on occasion.

Whoever wins should have a little momentum going, don't you think? Kane hasn't been in a significant storyline in a while.
I'd like to see him go heel and put over CM Punk with a good feud.

A great time to give him the World title was when he unmasked himself and went beserk. I thought for sure it would lead to something big.

Kane is definately deserving of the title, but first of all, he's not a mark. I don't think he cares if he's champion or not. The Royal Rumble needs to be won by someone the fans are going to invest in for Wrestlemania. By my money, that means Taker and Edge at Mania. Streak VS Streak.
I hear HHH is probably back in the Rumble, meaning they're likely going ahead with what has become the blandest Main Event ever, HHH VS Orton at Mania, but I hope like hell HHH and Orton doesn't happen at Mania.

Him overwhelming Austin is one of my all time favorite mark-out moments. Sit-Upping a stunner, dear christ, awesome. Does he deserve to win the rumble? Yes. Could good booking make it a really neat angle? Yes. Will it happen? No.

That ship has long sailed. Kane is just another guy on the roster now.

Kane might be the only one who deserves to beat Hornswoggle in the Rumble. If Hornswoggle is #29 and Kane is #30, when fire bursts from the ring posts, Hornswoggle is so scared, he jumps out of the ring over the top rope, eliminating himself, allowing Kane to throw everybody else out and win.

Kane is a monster heel whos been beat too often. They've repackaged him as a monster so many different times he's lost his flavor. Kinda like Umaga. They used to threaten all the faces with fighting KANE!

Deserving doesn't equal over. Kane is great, but no-one has cared about him since he first turned back face after the mask came off. I love Kane, one of my all-time favourite wrestlers, and he is over to an extent. But no-one would give a crap about a title reign from him now. He has a bit of a gut coming along, and he never wins matches any more. I mark the hell out for Kane in Royal Rumbles, but the time for him to win one (he should've won 2001's) is long gone.

The guy has gone on record as saying that he's happy to help make new stars.
He's very humble and a big contributor to the business. Guys like MVP, HHH, and others, owe him a huge debt.
Yes, he's been jobbed out from here to next week but he's managed to keep a lot of his heat because he has a fantastic amount of charisma. He really knows how to carry himself as a big monster, and he's also unique in that he can be a face or heel anytime. Everyone is ready to cheer for him at the drop of a hat and he's had some real standout moments as a babyface (see his feud with the Unamericans stable a few years back).
He could easily, easily, easily be rebooked as an unstoppable monster who destroys everyone and he would deserve every second of that push, just as he deserves to carry, and could very credibly carry, any world title. He isn't now because he's apparently happy to sit back and help wherever he can.
Unless something retarded happens between him and the company, he'll get his title run and is a lock for the HOF.

I think he deserves a rumble win but I still wouldn't want to see him in a title match at mania.
