You have Guilty Pleasure books/movies/TV programs.....stuff you enjoy, but admit its garbage....but good trash....
Well, lets put this to Wrestling.
You'll laugh, but back in the 1996-1999 WCW days.............I sorta liked Disco Inferno.
I know, not much of a worker and more gimmick than personality....but just the idea of it made it enjoyable in a THE WARRIORS sort of way.
Plus, something funny about his attempts (and failure) to join the nWo WolfPac.

Alex Wright. Thought he was fantastic, unlike the more casual fans I knew. The Hollywood Blondes and MNM too (well, guilty before either really got recognized as a good team). I don't know why, but I dig those Hollywood-type gimmicks. I was probably the only person I knew who liked the latter of those two for more than Melina (though that was part of the reason), despite everyone saying "OMGZ THE TWO GUYS ARE GAY" I still immensely enjoyed the team. Marking hard for Demolition is a guilty pleasure too now, I mean they're one of my favorite three teams of all time (them, E&C and MNM), maybe the favorite, but the whole dominatrices thing kinda makes enjoying the team a guilty pleasure in hindsight.

When Alex Wright was an Eurotrash prick heel.....he worked. Maybe should have been booked better or something, but I thought it worked. Didn't he have a silly "dance" feud with Disco Inferno?

I believe he did, though I remember him dancing with and teaming up with Disco Inferno a lot, usually they'd both come down to the ring and both start dancing until someone interrupted...

I remember the team-up, but......thats a low-midcard feud that could have worked if it hadn't been treated as a joke. It would have been the most bizarre "U.S. vs Foreigner" program in...................say it Tony S.! "....in the history of OUR sport!"

That's part of why I was one of the few that really really liked him back in the day. Then again I think everyone loved Demolition in the 1980's, only to realize how downright cheesy the attire was. Ah, well...

Don't some Crappers dig WSX in a guilty pleasure sort of way? Never watched it, but surely it was better than TNA....
I guess for current wrestling, my "Guilty Pleasures" include....
*Santino Marella - Will his gimmick be anything more beyond a mid-card comedy act? If he could pick up his ring work, he could become Golddust for this era....
"Why buy the cow when you could milk it for free?" GOLD!
*Black Machismo - Very good worker actually, but when I heard that concept originally.....damn I thought it was silly. But seeing a match, it brought a goofy grin to my face. Technically not "Guilty Pleasure," but I wanted to pimp him anyway.

Ah, well... Well, I liked Demolition too. Then again, alot of Crappers are in denial about being Ultimate Warrior fans back in the day. Like me. I know, I'm embarrased now but GODDAMN he on fire for me as a kid.......who knew he would turn out to be a flame-hater?

Boogeyman.
When he first debuted......good lord, it was fantastic crap. Maybe not even crap, I just enjoyed the character and how they used him greatly. Nowadays I'm not as entertained but he still gets a bit of a pop when I read that he appears on Smackdown or ECW.
I think the worms helped drive him a bit too far, and his jump-the-shark moments was his Rumble 06 match vs. JBL.

I admit to being a warrior mark when I was young. He was my first favourite wrestler and I was so happy he beat Hogan (always hated him except during NWO days).
I still think he was huge at that time and do not regret liking him.

Mass Transit, lol. But I actually really enjoyed Taker and Big Show as a tag team.

My guilty pleasure current...
Hornswoggle. I love the whole thing from day one (I mark for midgets). Finlay/hornswoggle McMahon/Hornswoggle Coach vs Hornswoggle Tuff love Hornswoggle. I think he's definitely the greatest midge in...(you guessed it) The history of our sport.

Shawn Stasiak, in all incarnations. I thought he should've been WCW World Champ back in 2000 Plus, his whole "running into stuff" schtick during the Invasion was flat out hilarious.

I too used to love Alex Wright.
Then again I was also a fairly hardcore Batista mark until recently, so my lack of taste knows no bounds.

Boogeyman, flat out. Crap wrestler, silly gimmick, but entertaining as hell to me.
And I see people here listing Alex Wright as a guilty pleasure, I'll say this, I've never been anything but a huge "Das Wunderkind" fan. I still do the dance on a regular basis.

Miz. Before the bandwagon. Hoo-RAH! I always thought Miz would be a good crap-starter heel. He had the right attitude and name recognition to the younger viewers. And, there's something about him that exudes charisma. He kinda has that Sid thing, without the being tall and built like a building. My guilty pleasure is Mark Henry. His matches suck, but there's just something about Mark Henry I like. Maybe the entry music is part of it.
