When he can put on a solid match, week in week out, which will get some sort of reaction from the crowd. Mic gimmick aside.

I think he'll end up retiring Flair at Mania. Or, knowing the WWE, sometime right after Mania. He makes the most sense. He's the hell with the most to gain from it. I then think once that feuds done with, that Kennedy will become a legitimate WWE championship threat. A feud with Cena is overdue. I could see something like that being the RAW main event for SummerSlam.

I still don't see what somebody gains from beating Flair unless they're a nobody. If Kennedy retires Flair then so what? Is anybody more interested in Mr. Kennedy? I don't think his character takes off. It doesn't make his matches or his droning interviews any more interesting. Saying you pinned someone whos lost to the likes of Kenny Dykstra and Carlito over the past year doesn't strike me as any great rub. I think the build up to who will actually do it is more interesting than whatever the payoff will be.

Plus "The Nature Boy" Ken Kennedy just rolls off of the tongue.

I think the build up to who will actually do it is more interesting than whatever the payoff will be. They're slowly rebuilding Flair's credibility for that very reason. So that when someone does retire him, it will actually mean something. But, even if he were still losing to scrubs, he's still Ric Flair, and retiring him will still give the retiree a nice rub. What I'd like to see is, whomever retires Flair starts wearing his robes to the ring just to rub it in. That would get some monster heat.

I was certain he was gonna take the Rumble, but now I'm thinkin' MITB. Keep thinking...I'm pretty sure he'll be facing Flair at Mania, and I'm positive that either Jeff Hardy or CM Punk will be Mr. Money in the Bank.

What he said. I don't see how anyone thought he had a chance of winning the Rumble, especially with Trips, Batista, Taker in there. Everytime they get ready to give him a big push, he somehow blows it. He won MITB last year, only to get injured and have to give up his title shot and also getting suspended for failing the Wellness Policy test.

I honestly think he is destined for a midcard career.

I don't know if he will now. How one man botches both an opportunity to contend for the WHC and get kicked out as the main player in the illegitimate child storyline is beyond me.

A few months ago, during the start of the whole "illegitimate child" storyline i would have said HELL YEAH Kennedy is gonna win the rumble! But he has no chance this past sunday. It wouldn't make sense for him to win it. Fight Orton or Hardy at mania? Makes no sense, and Hardy/Kennedy is so stale.
He won't win MITB because he won't be in it this year. And CM Punk better not win it. "I won the ECW title, so I can fight for the WWE Title now!" Yeah ok. THAT'S believability.

that infamous glass ceiling is already in effect for mr. kennedy. check back in about 2 years. How was it in effect? The guy won a huge match at Wrestlemania last year set to challenge for the World Title and he gets himself injured. Then months later, he gets suspended after lying on TV about not taking steroids and they had to change the plans of him being McMahon's illegitimate son. If anything, he's his own worst enemy at this point.

At this point, I agree. Flair's run is, and should end at Wrestlemania. This means Kennedy's gonna lose and drop further down the ladder, keeping him further from grabbing yet another briefcase. See how I did that? Ladder? MITB? Plays on words. They're fun and informative.

Not for a long time. Once his actual promos improve and stops mercilessly beating the crap out of Shawn Michaels in their matches, he may have a shot
