I loved it. Edge used to be one of my favorite (then) up-and-coming wrestlers. I still like him to an extent, but haven't the same as I did before since about 2004-2005.

I thought, "Injuring your opponent is not the first impression you want to make." I can imagine he got some talking to in the back about it, but he has come a long way since then.

I had just started watching WWE when Edge was doing the "blood brothers" storyline with Christian ... I was like 11 years old and he was a good guy, so I liked him.

I was a big Edge mark when he first debuted. I saw his debut match on Raw and instantly thought he was a complete bad ass since he broke a guys neck in his first match (I was like 12, sue me). I liked him in the brood, loved Edge and Christian during the TLC days, and they've been two of my favorite singles wrestlers since the team ended. I must say though, I absolutely HATED Edge during the whole Matt Hardy thing because he looked just like the guy that I thought my gf was cheating on me with. I got over it though, and Edge is one of my favorite WWE guys now.

I've pretty much loved him since his debut. I've been an Edgehead for forever.

The first time I saw Edge was watching a Summerslam 1998 VHS at my friends house. He was revealed as Sable's mystery opponent vs. Marc Mero and Jacqueline. I was still fairly new to wrestling and thought "Wow, this guy is pretty skinny for a wrestler." But I liked him.

I thought, "Hey! Why is he randomly screaming? He must be really angry."

I thought he was a Raven rip-off for weeks, then he debuted in-ring and broke a guy's neck. I couldn't stand him for years, especially during his super roided-up babyface run earlier in this decade, tagging with Rey and/or Hogan (I wasn't watching much when he and Christian started reeking of awesomeness.)
Now he's pretty much the best thing going in WWE, and has been for two-three years, IMO.

I really liked Edge when he debuted; I'd consider myself a mark for him even then...he was champ in one of my N64 games. I *never* thought he'd be a future multiple time WWE champion and the company's top heel.

Well I was young, he was a face. I cheered for him. It's why I don't hate kids for cheering Cena. I would be too if I was that age.
I hate that cheating with one of his friends girl was his big break, because I hate that stuff more than reall anything. But he's damn entertaining and I've always liked him, so I'm glad he at least made it there.

I marked. I thought he was a future World Champion, and was a little surprised it took him as long as it did to get there.

I thought: "Those reports I read seem to be true. This guy does have a lot of potential. I bet he goes far. I wonder when Christian Cage will debut?"

^^You can thank his 1 year injury for postponing that. Yeah forgot that. Was it before or after the 2001 King of the Ring? he had neck surgery in march 2003. and then when he came back a year later, he sprained his ankle and broke his hand before his first ppv match back. and then after that, he pulled his groin.

At first i didn't like him. I was like "WWF is so lame for trying to rip off Sting." I was like 11, so FORGIVENESS PLEASE! I also didn't like the Brood, stupid vampires.
THEN, E&C got their big break, and they started reeking of awesomeness! My favourite wrestling catchphrase ever is still "Sooo.. for the benefit of the viewers with FLASH PHOTOGRAPHYYYY!!!" That episode of RAW with them doing the vignettes of going around singing everyones theme music is one of the funniest things ive ever seen on TV. When E&C split, i almost cried.
His babyface singles run was a bit crappy. I just think he's like Jericho or HBK- relatively entertaining as a babyface, AWESOME as a heel. I hate to say it, but the shit that happened between himself, Matt and Lita was the best thing that ever happnened to his career. He came off as a total prick for what happened, and his later feud with Hardy was, i believe, the MAJOR kickstart to his becoming a major player.
Since them, i think that WWE have done a splendid job in booking him the way they have, IMO the best booking they've done of a character since The Rock. He's been the only guy that has been portrayed as legitimately being able to hang with Cena during his Superman push, and has been the top heel in the industry for two good years now. And he's played the role to perfection.
Did i think he would some day be the top heel in wrestling when he started. No way. I honestly thought he would last for about a year. But when E&C started to get their push, that's when i realised he was a star in the making. He's easily one of my favourite wrestlers ever, and him cashing in the MITB and beating Cena for the belt is still one of my biggest mark out moments ever.

I thought he'd be a good IC level guy when I first saw him (which was indeed a belt he won), then after he broke away from E&C, I thought a world title was in his future. Turned out to be five years later.

His hype videos were f***ing cool, and he quickly came one of my Favorite wrestlers. I've have enjoyed all the changes his charater as made. Hell he's my 4th favorite wrestler ever only behind. HBK, Sting, and Jericho.
