It's that time of year where we'll soon find out the song for Wrestlemania.
Last year it was "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva.
Personally, I'd like "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters this year.
What is your pick for this year's theme??

www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BG-mQLUxsAConsidering it came out in 2006 I don't think it stands much of a chance but I would love it. Unless the video came out last year but I have no idea. The Pretender could work aswell though.

You're right. That means this song could still qualify: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ-XxkhIBKo

Doesn't matter, nothing will ever top "Ladies and Gentlemen".

Let's go down the list of some of WWE's usual theme contributers. If they have something new out, it's got a good shot.
Saliva - Had the theme last year, still promoting that same album, so probably no.
Drowning Pool - Newest thing I can think of is "Soldiers", that may have just been a single, don't think an album was released. So no.
Puddle of Mudd - They used "Famous" for, One Night Stand I think. Now "Psycho" is getting regular play on the radio. It doesn't really fit as a theme song, but maybe.
Seether - It seems that "Fake It" is the theme for No Way Out, so their out of the Mania running.
Limp Bizkit - Nothing new.
Alter Bridge - They used "Rise Today" for Unforgiven. They could use another song from "Blackbird", so we'll put them in the maybe file.
Godsmack - Nothing new, but I would love if they used "Broken Again" by Another Animal, which is all the members of Godsmack with a different singer.
Mudvayne - They released that one song a few weeks ago, but the album isn't finished yet. Could use a Hellyeah song maybe.
Those are the main ones that come to mind.
Mania usually has 2 themes. A main theme and a 2nd theme that is used for like the opening video package or something. I personally think they will pick a well known artist/band for one theme and a lesser known and/or newer artist/band for the secondary theme.

Free Ride by Edgar Winter Group. It's a groovy, light-beated theme that would go with the beach theme of WM 24.

Ya know, while we're on the subject of themes, am I the only one who finds it appropriate they're using "Fake It" for No Way Out? And when it comes to Cena...just think about it.
"I can fake it with the best of anyone. I can fake it with the best of em all."
The injury? Eh?

I've got a gut feeling it'll be a nu metal band with ridiculous beards who were semi popular in 2001 in California and surrounding areas and had a minor hit on the heatseeker charts but have faded into obscurity after their album which came out on a far bigger nu metal stars vanity label flopped.

To coincide with the possible end of Ric Flair's career, they should use "The Final Countdown".

What about "Wish You Were Here" by Pink "freaking" Floyd, it was after all on the post card of the Wrestlemania postcard commercial thing during the Rumble.

As it's probably the last time I'm gonna be able to pitch it before the event....
This year they should have "Wrestlemania: The Musical", with various superstars breaking into apadted songs from The Lion King throughout the duration of the show.
Imagine the buyrate!
