Maybe they could bring the title back for a show like Heat; that'd probably get it more viewers. It sure wouldn't cost them any, so they can't lose if they do it.

I've said this in another thread and I'll say it again, if they're going to bring it back, let it fill the vacant Cruiserweight Championship spot on Smackdown.

I liked it because it gave guys who weren't in a storyline something to do. Guys like the Mean Street Posse, Kiantai, Viscera, the Headbangers, etc. got onto a freakin WrestleMania because of the Hardcore title and 24/7 rule! It would be great today, cause theres so many guys that are either stuck on Heat or doing dark matches, or simply aren't used, that could use something like that to get tv time and maybe have a chance to get noticed by the fans and get over. I pretty much agree with that. A low Midcard title is needed.

anyone who thinks the wwe hardcore 24/7 title was too silly, id hate to see what you think about the ddt heavymetalweight championship in japan And you champion - an inanimate step ladder! But I loved the hardcore 24/7 rule. Could bring a bit of fun back to any show.

It was a fun time, and it meant something.
Hardcore title then > IC title now.

The Hardcore Battle Royal from WM 2000 is one of my favorite matches ever. Screw workrate, I had a fun time watching. (This was where they dropped the 24/7 rule so Crash could "recuperate".)
Lawler was on top of his game. "Crash told me he never felt better. He got a good night's sleep for the first time in a month. Was able to eat his cereal without looking over his shoulder."
I think they should have had 3-4 weeks of the 24/7 rule, then before the next PPV, give the champ a reprieve.

I demand the Hardcore title back. What could beat Molly Holly clonking the Hurricane over the head with a frying pan?

I never wanted the hardcore title to be credible. So I LOVED these segments. It was hilarious.

To be honest it was made from an old broken belt with marker on it and given to someone, who then lost it never even to try and get it again. How can anyone take that as credibly? It was a comedy and entertainment belt from the get go and was good as such. /end speech aimed at no one in particular.
