To me, that was one of the fun parts of the Attitude Era. When someone would just grab a ref and go win the title. Even near the end of the title in 2002, it would still get crazy. As at the end of this Trish v Jazz match. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKOmkRf7UwY

It definitely made for some funny moments. Though I still prefer when the Hardcore title was more credible than that.

If they need to do comedy segments than let them do something like that again, they were always entertaining. Hell TNA could use something like that.

That title was about as credible as the beer title in TNA

I miss it very much, and Crash Holly with it. Taken WAY before his time.

The hardcore title 24/7 rule was fun for a while and yeilded some great moments, but it was mostly stupid short matches or 60 person clusters.

I LOVED it. They need to bring it back. With all the comedy segments they like to do nowadays, it's be a perfect fit.
Plus, we could after a while call Hornswoggle a 36-time champion or something.

It was kinda cool to see the clustershmazzes it'd cause, but it was also better to see it defended in a straight-up hardcore match between two people and two people only.

It was good for some quick comedy segments, ie, the crash holly/headbangers "match" at funtime USA (Complete with a killer rana in the ball pit), but if they did it nowadays it wouldnt really work.

I loved the 24/7 Hardcore title when Crash Holly held it. Also when Steve Blackman brought some credibility to it when he held it for a while

I liked it because it gave guys who weren't in a storyline something to do.
Guys like the Mean Street Posse, Kiantai, Viscera, the Headbangers, etc. got onto a freakin WrestleMania because of the Hardcore title and 24/7 rule!
It would be great today, cause theres so many guys that are either stuck on Heat or doing dark matches, or simply aren't used, that could use something like that to get tv time and maybe have a chance to get noticed by the fans and get over.

It was awesome at the time, but it wouldn't really work now.
I miss the way the WWF was in 2000!

I think if they found some middle ground with the comedy segments and still have some serious matches. Avoid the likes of Brisco and Paterson but we don't need Foley's vision of barbwire and thumbtacks.
Plus who didn't like seeing Blackman beat the crap out of a dozen guys while Al Snow tried to read him a poem.

I liked the 24/7 rule for a bit of comic relief, but I also really enjoyed RVD's run with it. RVD's run felt more like an ECW match, in that weapons could be used, but that doesn't mean to say that they have to be used.
