I wonder, does anybody know how far Mr. Tenta was into his book before his passing? Also, does anybody know if it will ever be published?

I have three chapters that he sent me via email, but as far as I know, he wasn't much farther than that. Unless LJ (Little John) or Joanna finish it for him, I doubt it'll ever be finished.

That's a shame. I know it would be improper to ask to see the chapters, but I know I, as well as many here, would love to read it.
I'd think between the WrestleCrap crew, Tenta's family, and his friends in the industry, that it could get published. Hell, if enough of his threads on this site were preserved, with a talented writer, that could be added to the book as well.

It's a real damned shame - I was really rooting for John to get his book published, not many people in the sport would've had a more wide-ranging experience to talk about in a relatively short time.

John did ask me personally not to let the chapters out into the world, so therefore, I respect his wishes and will not. I would've loved to see him finish the book as well...

Thats a shame about book, but hey we got a wealth of knowledge about Quake from this board so I'm happy with that anyways.

I also was looking forward to the book. Hopefully some time in the future Quake's legacy will be put into print. From what I learned here on the forums and with PM's with Quake, it's one hell of a story.

Maybe one of his friends could write a biography on him instead. It sounds like he had an amazing life, and I would love to read about it.

I was actually thinking about this a while ago; if John was okay with it, we could've done a three-part book. Part one was John's bio that he wrote. Part two was the best of the questions and answers he had done with us. Part three would simply be the RIP John thread, and everyone's well wishes and condolences, possibly added with some words from John's colleagues in the business and family members. But, if John's wish was that his work would remain his own, then I obviously respect that decision all that way.

And if we got that published, I'd know that many people here would buy several copies. All the procedes of course, would go to John's family or to aid in the fight against that terrible disease that cost us all a beloved friend.

That is actually a great idea, and I think we should try to clear it with John's widow, or children, and see what their thoughts are.

Yeah, and all of us here at the 'Crap could be co-authors...
I think in all honesty it is a good idea, I would love to learn more of John's life.

Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz I would buy six. 1 for me, 1 for a friend, 4 for a used bookstore. That way more people would know about the awesomeness that was this human being.

Maybe after RD and Blade are done with their current book they can write John's biography.

I would love to hear the story of Quakes life. More so than I heard here on the forums.
