Where's the JBL/Cole combo?
Edit: Nevermind. They get my vote. The Hall and Oates thing was funny as hell to me.

Personally I enjoyed JBL...but as a team effective at getting the product over, Tazz/Cole was surprisingly effective, and on a number of occasions, despite talk of "frying pan sized hands" and "rocketbustas", they were better than JR and Lawler.

Aren't you missing some?
Wikipedia to the rescue!
Michael Cole and Jim Cornette Pilot (April 1999)
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler August 1999-February 2001
Michael Cole and Tazz February 2001-November 2001
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler November 2001-March 2002
Michael Cole and Tazz March 2002-June 2006
Michael Cole and John Layfield June 2006-December 2007
Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman January 2008-Present
How come Cole is the one constant through all the years....

I know it isn''t 'Smackdown' but the JR /Heyman combo rocked. You could cut the antagonism with a knife - especially when Heyman was the heel.

Come on, Tazz and Cole. JBL was okay for a few months, but after awhile it was the same thing over and over again. He was like a broken record.

I like Cole/JBL and Cole/Tazz... both were hilarous in their own way at times...
As far as the Cole constant goes....Would you rather have Kevin Kelly do it?

I firmly believe that Cole being involved is what's kept me from caring enough to record Smackdown while I'm at work. Many of my favorite guys are on that show, but Cole has become like nails on a friggin chalkboard.
Here's hoping SD gets picked up by another network and completely and totally overhauled, announcers included. What's Josh Mathews doing these days?

Either JBL/Cole or King/Cole, the rest of the announce teams bore me especially Coach/Cole.
