Why did they never change their belts? Aside from the Hardcore Title, did they ever change the look of a belt?
All the lower titles looked HORRIBLE compared to the WCW title. That was THE title. The US title looked decent, but then the rest? All looked like chump belts. Like they came from the indies or something. They all had that ugly blue world on them, and that was basically it. Basically all the same shapes, the same sizes, all very crappy.
It suprises me that Kevin Nash being part of tag champs for like the entire 5 year span of 1996-2001 he never lobbied for cooler looking belts.

I agree, while there top belt was easily in the top 3 belts of all time, the rest seemed low rent, the TV title most of all.

I think I hated the tag straps the most.

By not changing the look of belts, I think the idea was that they were attempting to convey a sense of history.

Actually the Outsiders got newer models of the WCW Tag straps in 1997 and would wear them with the old ones sometimes. The TV title was changed a few times in the 90's, and the Cruiserweight got changed once or twice I think. I liked them, to each his own I guess.

i prefer the older looks of the wcw titles, like during the late 80s with the silver TV belt, and the cool looking US title and world tag team titles. the WCW style belts, minus the world title, looked really craptastic.

I love the BGB, and honestly I always considered the WCW US belt one of the best looking belts ever. Definatly in my top 5. It's a helluva lot better than the WWE US belt. The other belts I didn't really mind, but they weren't as good as the two

The US title did look sharp, but all the rest just looked the same as each other and mad generic. Like indy fed generic.

All titles minus the BGB got look changes post 2000. The US title changed? I remember the others changing but, not that one. Also, the BGB did change slightly during the Hogan/Russo/Jarrett crap around the Bash. When that went down, Hogan walked out with the new version and WCW went back to the old one.

If you count Storm putting the Canadian Flag over it a change, then yeah, otherwise it was the same belt.

That's what I always liked about the WWF, all of their belts had a distinct look...atleast until there was over ten of 'em.
