How would you guys make your own wrestling video game? What kind of matches would you have? What kind of roster would you have, a roster made of one company or another, a roster consisting of wrestlers from several different companies, or a roster consisting of made up wrestlers? Would it have a story mode in it? What kind of control scheme would you have?
My game would consist of a bunch of made up guys. My control scheme would be the same as No Mercy. I wouldn't have a store mode in it. I would allow for the editing of all the wrestlers, and there would be a track system for wins and losses. I don't know if I would have a attitude meter, but some kind of meter similar but it would be more fair for both sides.

You know Fire Pro Wrestling Returns? That's the game I would make.

My controls would be something like No Mercy. The story line would be one of those, "wrestler makes his way through the indi's up to the bigs" type things, and their would be plenty of gimmick matches, especially ladder and ultimate X type matches. An easy learning curve is important to me, because even my friends who don't like wrestling enjoy having 4 way ladder matches in HCTP, but they can't stand to play Fire Pro at all

I just want a CHIKARA game in some form. DL and play the No Mercy Forever Indy mod. I would make an ROH game featuring everyone in ROH history and all the match types (Street fight, CoD, Ladder War, Fight Without Honor, Cage etc.).

Giant wrestlers fighting each other and destroying cities, like the Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters! game. You say that, but all I hear is "Hey, why don't someone make a Kaiju Big Battel game!" and boy, do I approve.

10 wrestlers stay in a hotel over the night, one ends up murdered. Who is the killer?
The answer is always Jim Neidhart

If I were to make my own wrestling game, which I've contemplated numerous times and even emailed Gabe Sapolsky about, it'd be sort of like a touring game. You'd start out somewhere you pick in the United States, wrestling all of the local talent and then moving across the country before traveling across the world and eventually beating "everyone" to win the game.
I'd ideally like to get some sort of rights to companies like, ROH, Chikara, JAPW, AAW, PWG, FIP, and IWA:MS for the United States portion of the game. Each area that you were wrestling in, would then have their own specialty matches and such. You'd concur one of the promotions then move to another, sometimes encountering some of the same talent in multiple promotions due to their actual bookings in real life.
After completing the American part of the game you'd travel abroad and probably wrestle in Europe (not sure of the fed there now), and then got to Japan to wrestle in Dragons Gate.
The Control Scheme would be 100% identical to Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 for the N64.
Yeah, that's my dream game actually.

A wrestling MMO that'd basically be a video game version of e-feds. You start out as a wrestler in the indies, and have to work your way up to the top feds. You have to make your own bookings, and try to earn spots in each fed. There's no minimum or maximum amount of feds you pick, but you have to be strategic as to seeing if it's the fed's value that draws you in, or if it's your value that the feds draw you. So you'd have to realistically look at your own value on the circuit, you'd be able to express loyalty to certain promotions, or you can defect to other promotions.
On the other hand, you could also be a promoter. You'd start up a fed, try to lure talent in either by contracted stays or per-show appearances. The goal in this, is to build up good word-of-mouth with the wrestlers that your place is where to go. Plus, you can make working arrangements with other feds to share talent, use one or the other as feeder systems or whatever. Basically the end is to try and gain as much prestige with your fed as possible. With the possibility of even taking top spot in the world.
