Reading through the Howard Finkle career retrospective thread, I recalled the series of events when "Y2J" Chris Jericho put him through in his training to become a Warrior. I remember I was fixing a plate of Velveeta and ring bologna in my mom and Lloyd's kitchen when I heard on the television the familiar music of The Ultimate Warrior. Marking, I immediately rushed from the kitchen into the family room, fully expecting my childhood hero to be there on the screen. Imagine my disappointment when it was lowly ring announcer Howard Finkle rushing to the ring. I had marked and had been made a fool of. And on top of that, Lloyd's dog Marmaduke had began eating my Velveeta and ring bologna I left unattended in the kitchen.
That in mind, were there any times you marked hard by accident?

HBK playing Bret's music and Edge playing Hardy's music both popped me Oooohhh, did I ever mark. I was super disappointed when he didn't come out. Still, it was a great promo on HBK's part.

Back around '96, WWF tried a show called "Shotgun Saturday Night" or something like that. It was on at midnight or 1am to either compete with or follow Saturday Night Live. I was totally psyched because the first show was supposed to have both Razor Ramon and Diesel on it....
....and they were both fakes.
I was so ticked off.

when Bret's music played and it turned out to be a commercial for the Anthology CD even though it looked like one of those "coming soon" video's.

As mentioned in the Fink thread. I was IN THE ARENA at the concession stand when this happened. I literally knocked someone over running back to the entrance to see...Howard Finkel.

My first Ring of Honor event, when HBK whipped out the Carvate, and just recently when I interview Quack for my radio show

ECW returns to join the invasion........I consider it an "accidental" marking since I forgot that it was WWE Creative booking the mess and by the end of the show it was ruined with Stephanie as the owner of ECW. I allowed my hopes to get up............big mistake

I once heard a remix of Kurt Angle's theme (wasn't used for long...I wanna say during late 2000?) and thought it was Ken Shamrock returning.

Why did you accidently mark for these incidents? It surprised the shit out me that Arn Anderson came out. Plus he is one of my favorite wrestlers.

When Goldberg squashed Rodney Mack, I really hate the guy but marked hard for that segment. I felt so dirty afterwards.
