Surprising since they had 2 title matches Not really, the tag title matches haven't been a ratings boost in the past and I'm pretty sure there wasn't any ratings boost in the last CM Punk-Morrison title match, where much like this one it was a matchup we had seen a bunch of times before. And even with that series, I don't think we saw as many matches between them in a two month span as we have with Punk and Chavo.

Apparently they don't have Nielsen boxes in the Palace of Wisdom. Otherwise ECW would be getting ratings in the 8's.

the last Morrison/Punk title match did a 1.7 I thought that was the second to last title match between them where they pre-advertised the title change. The last Morrison/Punk match was the one with Miz' hat.

I don't see SciFi renewing this show for another year. Wouldn't be surprised to see ECW move somewhere else. Less surprising would be ending the brand, sending the massive roster to RAW and Smackdown and putting the abomination out of its misery. Or something like that.

Difference is Chavo=Ratings Not anymore he doesn't, on the 1.4 show he wasn't even on There were two consecutive 1.4 shows, one was the advertised visit by Naitch. The other was the one before, with Stevie's comeback and Kelly getting her first singles win in ages

Last week when we had the 1.2 he was there talking...or at least something approximating talking. Simply put, if someone is really going to tell me that "Chavo = ratings" I have just enough time and/or agitation to prove that above all, that is not the case and it should not be a serious point of contention. Seriously. I don't even know why i'm explaining myself at this point.

ECW is never really going to get above 1.3 on an average week...they need to overload it with dev talent, make it fresher.

Ratings are so ridiculously pointless and highly questionable in thier accuracy.
Things like TiVO numbers, DVR numbers and internet views are not factored into ratings at all - not to mention the fact that it relies on sampling. Sampling = the sucks for stuff like this.

Pretty sure last week's was only a 1.2 according to the "ECW Rating" topic from last week. In any event the point I'm trying to make is that ratings are very hard to pin down on anything, and I'm merely just using what I know to disprove the belief that one person alone is responsible for ECW's ratings going up. And if one person is, it certainly isn't Chavo "I jobbed to Rey Mysterio clean even though he had a torn bicep on SD while ECW was still getting a 1.4 which by the way I wasn't even on that week" Guerrero.

ECW needs at least 2 or 3 guys thats over to bring up ratings. Noone on the ECW roster will bring in ratings.
But with a roster of undercard wrestlers, I guess the ratings fit. Always felt Jeff Hardy would make the perfect ECW champ. But since he is one of if not the most over guy, He'll be staying on Raw.
