I think Cena will be looked on as more of a Bret Hart type of wrestler. He will still have a lot of fans that look back on his career fondly, but he will also have a lot of detractors. As for my opinion, I think Cena is a good, capable wrestler, but he has done little promo or match-wise to set him apart from any other semi-talented, capable guy who got a huge push. He hasn't given any truly memorable promos or matches like a Flair, Hart, Foley, Guerrero,, Savage, Hogan, or Austin. Yeah its not like he had a 50 minute classic with Michaels on RAW, or a MOTY brawl with Umaga, or put on one of the most memorable performances in wrestling history at One Night Stand '06 against RVD.

Well that is your opinion. I've seen all those matches and felt they were all good but not great. They did not illicit the same emotion or reactions from me that matches from those others I mentioned did.

But you would be in a very very small minority if the ONS II match wasn't one of the more memorable matches you ever saw. Cena went out and had a five star match with the crowd, RVD was just along for the ride.

I think Cena will be remembered for being unique in the sense that he has been kept at his spot, without change, despite the fact that the product suffers with his involvement, and that (kids aside) he is very disliked by wrellting fans. When the same thing happened to Kevin Nash and HBK, they were stripped of the belts. Diesel and HBK tanked business. Cena has not. A lot of people love to pretend the WWE is in bad financial shape right now, but it's a hugely profitable company.

Whoever says WWE is in bad financial state is just a testament on how they blindly hate the WWE. It's silly and juvenile.

He'll be like Triple H, except for without all the "backstage politicking" charges. After he's a little less fresh-faced and has in and out of the main event a few times, people will have more respect for him.

John Cena is a lot like cocaine. Mindblowingly awesome in small doses, but too much of him and you start to vomit and convulse Cocaine never did anything for me. Seriously, how f***ed is that? Anyway, Cena will be looked back as a decent worker who got shit on way too much.

I think it'll really depend on what state the product is in by then. If things hit their peak again ala 1998 I don't imagine he'll be missed too much (though people would most likely admit he got crapped on too much), but if it's Randy Orton 25 time WWE Champion bad....yeah.

This. Seriously, If Cena can keep the pace he is setting right now he'll be up there by 2018 if not sooner.

Cena puts on good/great matches on PPVs. I wasn't so much entertained by the character during his long title reign, but his PPV matches seldomly dissapointed.
He'll be held in pretty high regard by the time hes retired in 2059
