When peoplke talk about Wrestlemanias they usually ignore Wrestlemania XIX. nobody hates it but no one includes it in their favourites
Well i'm just re-watching it right now and it's a very enjoyable pay-per-view. Infact i'd go as far as to say it's one of the better Manias
anyone else enjoyed this Mania?

It was good. Especially the Michaels - Jericho match. Awesome stuff.

Michaels v Jericho, Austin v the Rock, Lesnar v Angle, Hogan v McMahon. This is right up there with my favourite Wrestlemanias.

This is the Mania that the WWE blamed on the "small market" for why it didn't sell as well...

I thought it was pretty good ppv as well. Espically for Jericho Vs. Micheals, which is one of the best Wrestlemania matches period.

I do like this 'Mania. Mostly for the Rock Vs. Austin match. It's one of my favorites ever and in my opinion is the best match they ever had together. I love when Rock puts Austin's vest on. It always makes me crack up. I flipped out when I saw Shawn beat Jericho. I've never been more angry at the end of a match. I haven't watched it since. One of the very rare times when an ending could ruin an otherwise fantastic match for me.

^ Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Jericho should have gone over.
Sans that and the awful Trips/Booker match, this was a very good Wrestlemania. I was really into the Angle/Lesnar match at the time, it just seemed like a great match. I need to watch that again to see how it holds up.

Booker T's robbery in what would have been a surefire emotional Wrestlemania moment (especially after the weeks of racism that Booker endured) tainted this event somewhat for me. The great build up, taking him back to the streets of Houston, his troubled youth, etc...all for nothing. That killed me.
But the entertainment of Hogan-McMahon, the drama of Rock-Ausin, the excitement of Jericho-Michaels and the energy of Angle-Lesnar made this one of the greatest Manias of all time.
On a geeky sidenote, it had an amazing look to it too, loved the entrance way and the stadium setup.

Yeah, I loved the look of it, but I love outdoor events in general.

As a funny anecdote that some may find funny, if my friend and I can't get tickets to Mania itself, then we plan an awesome party weekend before watching the PPV at home or at a hotel. For XIX, we went to Vegas and partied from Friday night to Sunday night non stop. Telling everyone about Mania, quizzing each other, going on and on and on about WWE...and finally its Sunday night and time for the show to begin.
And we were so exhausted we both passed out and missed the entire PPV. The whole reason we were in Vegas in the first place, and we didn't see shit!
Thank God for encores...

It wasn't so much that he lost, but HOW he lost. It was so long between the pedigree and the cover, and then the LONNNGGG 123. It's not like they had to give Booker T a long reign, just a couple months before it went back to holding position.
I remember watching it live, and when I saw it was 5th from the top or whatever, I knew HHH was going over.

This was a very good ppv. The only moment that I didn't like was idiot Lesnar's Shooting Star debacle.

I do agree the Booker T and Triple H match was somewhat terrible. I remember I first got Volume 4 of the Anthology set last year. That I got so bored with the match that I just skipped it all together.

One of the better WrestleManias. I was hooked from the opener with Matt Hardy V1, a decent Women's match...but I bought it for one match: Kurt Angle-Brock Lesnar.
When I saw Brock climb the turnbuckles, I knew what was about to happen. I was telling my brother: "I heard about this, check this out!" He was wondering what I was talking about...until Brock took a header.
I'd put this on my top ten WM matches ever. The Michaels-Jericho match deserves a spot on the list too.

When peoplke talk about Wrestlemanias they usually ignore Wrestlemania XIX. nobody hates it but no one includes it in their favourites Well i'm just re-watching it right now and it's a very enjoyable pay-per-view. Infact i'd go as far as to say it's one of the better Manias anyone else enjoyed this Mania? That's strange, because on other sites I go to it's either at the top of everyone's list or it's number two or three. Just a top-to-bottom spectacular card. And I loved the venue. Extraordinary. And John Cena did it an amazing battle rap against a cardboard cut-out of some rapper I don't remember. It was the rapper who refused WWE's invitation to appear and battle rap Cena on the show. Totally rhymed "fiancee" and "beyonce" when referencing Jay-Z. Seriously, it takes very little to impress me. But yeah, I figured Jericho was FOR SURE going over. I totally thought the Walls of Jericho would be the finish there. But even the outcome couldn't hamper a great match, for me. And the post-match angle was fantastic. As for Booker-HHH...well, if you don't have anything nice to say... But yeah, Austin-Rock delivered (no surprise there), and outside of the spectacular SSP botch (the minute he went up top, I knew what he was going for...and I also KNEW there was no way he'd reach Angle that far across the ring), the Angle-Lesnar main event was outstanding. Pretty damn close to the perfect PPV, and this comes in third for me as far as WMs go, right behind XIV (my number two) and XVII, which was an absolutely perfect PPV, in my opinion.

yeah booker-triple h really sucked.
I disagree with whoever said that Lesnar's SSP was a bad moment. Yeah it was hard to watch live but when you look back on it it was sick and was a major moment

The only thing I really hated was that the World Tag Team Title match got bumped to Heat and then done again with the original Mania finish the next night on Raw so that the Miller Catfight Girls could tear Coach's pants off.

It was the very first PPV I ordered, so it has a special place in my heart. Of all the Wrestlemanias though, I'd rate it right near the top. We had classic battles in Jericho/Michaels, Hogan/McMahon, and Angle/Lesnar with that shiver-inducing botched Shooting-Star-Press. Trips and Booker T had a good match too, overshadowed by both the outcome (Booker T should have won, and that started my smarkdom) and the HORRIFIC commentating by Lawler and Ross, but it was mostly Lawler and his "Wrestlemania the Movie" crap that finally pushed Ross as over the edge as you will ever see on TV. Rock and Austin was a good match, and that should have been NO DQ as well, just to keep continuity alive. One thing that bothered me about this PPV, is that it was made in 2003. It reeked of that fact. The triple-threat tag match (Guerreros/Team Angle/Benoit and Rhyno) had a REALLY bad ending, and it almost overshadowed a really good match. Also, I didn't want to hear any analogies to science class, and to those who get the reference, you know what I am talking about. Mysterio and Hardy was WAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too short, and Mysterio should have gone over in a 20 minute epic match opener that would Wrestlemania its immortal feeling. Also, I wanted to see Fred Durst chokeslammed by Undertaker in the ring, but sadly that was not fulfilled. And how in the hell did Kane/RVD vs. Morley/Storm a HEAT MATCH? That match was better than at least two or three matches on the main card. Overall though, I was pleased with this PPV, and with 24 coming up, I gotta yank this one out of the shelf and watch it again. Who knows, I might just review it .

I dug the fact that it was in a (partially) open air stadium. Part of the reason I'm looking forward to Wrestlemania 24 so much. I love outdoor shows.
It did suck the tag title match was moved to Heat. Kane and RVD went from being so over in the fall of 2002 to being relegated to that.
