I never imagined he would. I thought he would just be around until his original feud with Undertaker was over.

Absolutley Not.
They've done so much to his character ten years later that they could literally try anything and it would probably at least make sense..somehow. That my friends, is lasting power.

Hell no. I can't believe how well he's done for himself. He should've gotten Hardy's push.

One of the best Big men of all time, willing to do ANYTHING in his career in WWE. I mean he's a damn good wrestler, one of my favorites.
i'd love to see him win the ECW title, to put over somebody huge when they beat him.

I thought he'd vanish into obscurity after Wrestlemania 14, much like Marc Mero or the New Midnight Express. Just goes to show what patience, work ethic and one of the coolest looks in the last ten years will do for ya.

Back in the day, I always assumed Kane would disappear after he lost to the Undertaker.
I had no idea they would take him beyond just being the Undertaker's brother, and turn him into his own character.
I'm glad they kept him around, as he's done some really entertaining stuff over the years.

I think he sucks and he bores the hell out of me. I wish they'd have done what I originally thought they would.. have undertaker "kill" him at WM14 and never see him again.

I don't think it's a good thing at all. Once the character was removed from the Undertaker, everything went to hell (no pun intended). And then they destroyed any mystique Kane had by having him feud with the likes of La Resistance, Shane McMahon, and X-Pac.
I don't have any interest in his character or matches any more.

No, especially not after he turned face. Once he lost the mask I knew he'd be around for a good amount of time though. It was amazing to see after all this time how great he was on the mic as a demented heel with all his facial expressions.

he should have not lasted so long. He's a waste of time for 6 or 7 years.

He's not my favorite, but not my most hated either. I guess I look at him nowadays as a guy who's just there, but important enough to have a role when necessary.
As Lisa Simpson once said about Larry of the Three Stooges, he doesn't need to be there, but things wouldn't be the same without him.

The thing about Kane is, hes the go to monster. We need a bigger name to stick in a transitional feud....how about Kane?
Reward the guy with an ECW title run. Its not like anything else bad can happen with that.

At one point he was a pretty solid worker for a big man, and for some reason I remember a ton of people being into that whole Kane/Xpac stuff, it was weird.

The fact he lost to a fake version of himself says it all really.
Never title material.

I always thought he would flake out after WM14 or so as the Undertaker would get "rid" of his brother and bury him or something "supernatural." I was under the impression it was a short term kind of thing, but then when he got the title match against Austin at the KOTOR is when I realized that he was sticking around.

Even I thought the gimmick would last six months tops back in the day; and I was just a kid back then LOL.

No way I thought he was gonna be around this long. Hell, theres almost the chance he stays around after Taker (provided the rumors of his upcoming retirement are true).

Nope. When everything started and his character was being introduced, I thought he would just be another Giant Gonzalez type. A big guy that they could throw to the Undertaker who would just disappear after his feud with Taker. But he had the ability to work with anybody, not just Undertaker. I'm glad he stuck. I always thought he was cool.
