And by WCW 24, I mean the original WCW wrestlers that the WWF first signed. As I recall, Booker and DDP were signed later, as were Bagwell and Torrie. Here's who I can recall the WWF initial signing.
Stacy Keibler Mike Awesome The Wall Lance Storm Hugh Morrus Mark Jindrak Sean O'Haire Mike Sanders Chuck Palumbo Elix Skipper Kid Romeo Shane Helms Jimmy Yang Kaz Hayashi Reno Johnny the Bull Jamie Knoble Jason Jett Kwee-Wee Chavo Guerrero Lash LeRoux Shannon Moore Evan Karagias Billy Kidman
Am I wrong about any of these?

I'm sure Sean Stasiak was one of them. He was at Wrestlemania 17.

I'm sure Sean Stasiak was one of them. He was at Wrestlemania 17. I knew I had forgotten someone. That means someone on my list wasn't signed by the WWF.

I think AJ was signed as he was sitting in the crowd at Wrestlemania that year, but he was released shortly after.

Surely Meltzer or someone put up a list, right?

I remember Booker T getting signed, and the Wall NOT getting signed. Other than that and the Sean Stasiak thing, the list looks spot on.

So basically it would be:
Stacy Keibler Mike Awesome Shawn Stasiak Lance Storm Hugh Morrus Mark Jindrak Sean O'Haire Mike Sanders Chuck Palumbo Elix Skipper Kid Romeo Shane Helms Jimmy Yang Kaz Hayashi Booker T Johnny the Bull Jamie Knoble Jason Jett Kwee-Wee Chavo Guerrero Lash LeRoux Shannon Moore Evan Karagias Billy Kidman
That sounds about right.

I'm pretty sure Booker was not one of the original 24. He had one of those huge contracts that most of WCW's main-eventers had, and the WWF didn't want to purchase it.
Booker, along with DDP had to get a release from their WCW contracts, and sign new deals with Vince.

The Wall was signed and was part of the WCW 24. Booker T was not, he took a buyout from his Turner deal and later signed with the WWF. Shawn Stasiak was part of the WCW 24 as well.
If I remember right, someone on that list was released by WCW right before the buy out happened and then signed with the WWF almost immediately. But I don't remember who.
It's either that or EZ Money/Jason Jett was working without a contract still and the WWF ended up signing him anyway. Because I know there was a period where he and Kid Kash were working WCW tv on a tryout basis, like most of the guys they used for the Crusierweight Tag title tournament. I don't know if they ever actually signed them or not.

Booker was in there from jump-street as far as working matches, if I remember correctly he had to carry Bagwell the first week the WCW guys got to do something other than run-ins.
WWE screwed the invasion-angle by not forking-over the jack to get the other big names like 'berg and Steiner.

Was Reno ever signed by the WWF? Yes, he was one of the 24 and spent time in HWA with all the other WCWers that weren't being used on WWF tv. He was released sometime in early 2002.

Was Kanyon one of the original 24? Don't think so. I believe he was in the same boat as Booker and DDP and had to take a buyout of his time warner deal to sign with the WWF.

I'm pretty sure that Chavo wasn't one of the original 24 and that he was signed shortly after. Chavo was there from the start, he was in the crowd at WM X-7 with all the other WCW guys.

WWE screwed the invasion-angle by not forking-over the jack to get the other big names like 'berg and Steiner. Goldberg had about 2 years remaining on his Time Warner deal. He didn't want to risk taking a half-assed buy out from WWE to be buried on WWE TV. Steiner was laid up with injuries & couldn't have wrestled even if he wanted to.
