I was just thinking that what if Ricky Hatton had beaten Floyd Mayweather last December? Would he be getting 20 million dollars and be fighting Big Show at Wrestlemania?
Obviously I don't know how long Vince has had this all planned out. Personally I think Ricky would have been a lot more entertaining.

I doubt it - Ricky Hatton doesn't have that inherent hate-ability of Mayweather. He seems like a straight up boxer more then the showman Floyd is.

No. Ricky is not the draw that Floyd is supposed to be. He's only real popular in England.

People are paying not to see a good fight between 2 stand up guys.
They're paying to see mayweather get chokeslammed through the ring.

I'm English and I had honestly never heard of Hatton until WWE did that photo shoot with 'Taker and Bistro.

I dont know how well known Hatton is in the USA but I'd like it. I think he took his 'Hitman' nickname from Bret Hart so he must be a fan.

I would also in one aspect prefer he was in the feud, since the WWE are trying to make Big Show the heel. I can't cheer Mayweather, but I couldn't boo Hatton.

Obviously I don't know how long Vince has had this all planned out. Personally I think Ricky would have been a lot more entertaining. 1) WWE would not spend 20 million on Ricky Hatton. 2) If they did sign him, I'd rather see Finlay vs: Hatton in a Belfast Brawl. Better yet...Burchill vs: Hatton.

Hatton wouldnt be any good for the E. For one thing Ricky is a heck of a nice guy but he doesnt have the charisma or well known factor as floyd Mayweather.Mayweather is a natural heel and im actually enjoying some of the stuff he and big show are doing.

On a semi-related note, I actually met Ricky Hatton last friday night when he was at a boxing match at the GH Carnell next to where I live.

I'm not a fan of boxing...it's boring. But Hatton's the only boxer i like, mainly cos of the 'Hitman' nickname.

How about Big Show Vs David Beckham? It would be awesome, if Beckham kicked a ball at Big Show but the ball flew wide over him.

Hatton is about as famous here as Hermie Sadler. No dice.

The average Hatton match contains more wrestling than two weeks of WWE shows combined. He might've been good for Mania after all...
