The Hart/Hennig match is Bret's defining moment as far as I am concerned.

OMG, Bret/Perfect 100% without a shadow of a doubt.
What is SO awesome about that match is how it ends. How Perfect taps out and they start ringing the bell like CRAZY and Bret's music queues up immediately. The crowd goes as rabid as ever I've heard a crowd go.
Just thinking about it sends chills up my spine.

Vs. Undertaker from Summerslam 1997. An awesome match that added lots of depth with HBK as the special ref, and made like three different feuds in the process. Who knew that would lead to Survivor Series and that 'Screwjob'? The match against Perfect in 91 may have been a better match, but the 1997 match had a lot more meaning in the short and long term future.

tough call. Now aday's I would say Perfect vs Hart. But back when it happened. I was super excited for the match against taker. And when shawn michaels hit taker with the chair to give bret the win. I was standing in front of my tv flipping out with joyl
