How hard is it for you to go full speed knowing your quads could roll up like a window shade any minute? Or are quads less likely to tear off if they have been repaired? Has anyone here ever had this happen to them?

I cant see them being any less likely to tear now that they've been damaged to the amount they were. I'm sure he's cautious.

I've noticed him work a safer and more cautious style over the past few months - he knows if they go again, that's his career over.

What exactly lead to the tear. Im not a sports medicine guy so is it something that builds up or is it an instant snap? Didnt he tear it the first time just taking a step during that tag match?

Yeah I always wonder if hes a little nervous when he hits those Spinebusters.
Sucks for him too cause now hes expected to continue the match if he ever gets an injury like that again...

When he tears both quads at one time, that's his career.

Abuse of Roids?? Just speculation but I wouldnt doubt it. Look at him in his earlhy days in the wwe 95-96 or so. THen look at him around the time he tore his quads in 01. Then how he looked when he came back in 02. He came back looking even bigger and better than he was in 01. Now we gotta remember.. Hes married into the family so he prolly doesnt get tested or get the same test as the rest of the boys. I just find it hard to believe, a man could put on that much muscles, and mass along with being cut as hell in that short amount of time without the use of the something. But anyways. When those quads and other muscles start tearing like that consistently, ITS A SIGN OF STEROID ABUSE!

Im just curious as to if its a chronic injury or if it just happens at one particular moment.

I'd say he's in okay shape right now, he seems healthy. Now if he tore one walking across the ring...

Shattered my kneecap when I was 17. Didn't put a lot of pressure on it since it healed. Refractured (did I make a new word?) it when I was 31 leaping off of a 6 foot tall fence like I was friggin Jimmy Snuka.
I was such a putz.
To sum up, if I were HHH, I'd try not to do too much involving those knees. Kinda difficult with his move, but not impossible.
You can only damage muscles or ligaments in your body before the damage takes its toll.

I always get uneasy when he goes for the Spinebuster, even though he's taken a lot of the boom out of it

I'm pretty sure that as part of his rehab from his quad tears he would be prescribed steroids thus negating the wellness policy at that time.

Watch him when he hits a Spinebuster or Knee Face-Buster. He used to bounce up after he hit those moves but now he stays there for a while and is slightly more gentle. If you think about it, a lot of his moves involve his knees and thigh muscles. The Pedigree, The AA Spinebuster, The Knee Face-Buster, The Harley Race High Knee, The Knee Drop. Talking of Hunter's move-set, I don't think I have seen him do a suplex for a long, long time. Which is a shame because he executes them beautifully.

A lot of his moves are knee-impact-heavy so that might have something to do with it.
EDIT - I totally didn't see the post above mine saying the same thing.

Maybe Triple H would re-invent his moveset so it won't be all knee-related.
