What PPVs were so underwhelming that you almost just gave up on living?

Believe it or not, the AWA/WCCW/Memphis PPV, Superclash III looked to be a classic. You had Lawler, Kerry VE, the Rock 'N' Roll's, the Guererro's, etc all on the same card. And title unification matches were rare at that point. But we all know how that turned out. Poor choice of location (it should have been in Memphis if they wanted a guaranteed sell-out) and backstage bullcrap sabotaged what should have been a great show (Disregard what Jim Ross said on the AWA dvd from the WWE, he was talking out of his butt.)

Vengeance 2006 DX Reforming, Flair Vs. Foley 2 out of 3 and Sabu/Cena all disapointing, nothing awful, but it all should've been awesome and Flair Vs. Foley was like an 9 minute angle advancing brawl.

A PPV match that was great on paper but, ultimately, disappointed me was Sabu v. RVD from Wrestlepalooza 1998. It was awful and not at all like their work from 1996. Their timing was off and Sabu was feeling so bad that he vomited all over the floor at ringside, during the match. There were a few decent spots, but the match bombed big time. Maybe part of this was due to the fact that they were going to a 30 minute time limit draw, and they sucked at pacing themselves for the match. Either way, it should have been great but failed in every way.

TNA Hard Justice 2007. Joe/Angle has always looked good on paper but never really came through as anything special, but this was probably the worst match the two had. I don't consider any match they have had to be "great" or anything, but it was just a bad main event. We also got a dream match with 3D and the Stieners that made me wish it never actually became a reality. There are other things I can comment on, but the best match on the show was probably a 3.25/5 at best and it was stacked with talent.
Vegence 2006 had a pretty good card too with Kane Vs. Fake Kane being the only bleh thing on it on paper. But, Edge/RVD for the WWE title was forgettable. Sabu/Cena was supposed to be good, but Sabu was awful in WWE and never had a good match outside of ONS II. Orton/Angle was also a step down from the match they had at the previous PPV. The biggest knock is that Foley and Flair never even had a real match, it was just a set up for te next PPV.

You are the winner of this contest. Although I can raise you a few WWE Great American Bash PPVs as well. I thought we were talking about PPV's that look good on paper but bad in reality? 2004 and 2005 were bad on paper too, but 2006 had potential. THANK YOU PUNJABI PRISON!!! I thought, and people are gonna yell and scream for me at this one, but Wrestlemania 21 had this. Especially after Piper's Pit, but I thought this PPV could have been a big bang in the beginning and end, but the end was very flat. I could not care about the final 1.5 hours of that event at all.
