I wasent a member of the IWC until early last year. My friend was telling me about how it was gonna be Taker/Batista at Wrestlemania 23, 6 Months before it happened. I asked him how he knew all this, he then told me about PWMania.com, then not too long later i joined these forums.

I somewhat started becoming one in 1999 with my hotlines and WOW magazine and all that, but not "fully" until I got the internet in late 2000.

2003, around Mayish, was the first time I've ever read spoilers for SMACKDOWN. Even then though, I took that news with a grain of salt.
To add a little more, I joined the forums technically in July 2005, but didn't really have a first post until months later when I could finally get a activation key.

I used to get the Dirt sheets back during the Monday Night Wars, I started around the time when X-Pac jumped to WWF from WCW. It's the earliest inside news I can remember knowing before I saw it on TV.

I'd say 7-8 years. Can't remember. Around WM17 was when I first started. It all happened because I wanted to see Major Gunns nude.
One day (and this was like 8th grade, mind you) I was home sick and wanted to see Major Gunns nude. So, I visited TheMayhem.com and they had them. From there, I got hooked. The first real major news item I remember was them knowing about Austin's heel turn at WM and I didn't believe it.
And now I believe dirt sheets.

97. Think I first discovered these types of sites after the Montreal Screwjob. I was reading up all I could about what exactly happened and found a lot of great sites. I was surprised to find so many people as obsessed with wrestling as me.

Define smark. I've known it was fake and known the language since about a week after I started watching nine years ago. I've been a member of the IWC for as long as the date underneath my name says.

When I first got the internet...around 1996. Sure I knew wrestling was a work before then and that Vince really owned WWE. I didn't know insider terms or wrestler's real names and didn't have access to wrestling news before then. My father worked in Atlanta and worked with someone who had connections to WCW, so I often heard of some news and rumors. I can only distinctly remember hearing these three things: WCW was about to have a Little Richard character played by a white guy; there are some lawsuits in WCW concerning race and that's why Simmons got the belt; and Missy Hyatt is quitting the company or something over a nude picture or poster of her following a wardrobe malfunction. I guess I was a smark in training.

I became a "smark"/member of the IWC around the time of One Night Stand 2005. It really started when Angle vs. HBK blew my mind and going in to the ECW pay per view and after, I checked out a lot of old ECW matches and videos. That blew my mind as well. I'm 16 years old, started watching WWE late 1999.
