Obviously the crowd was behind Santino after his trashing of the Divas last week, did anybody else do a mini-pop at home?

Yes. I am with Santino. Candice, Torrie, Maria, Ashley, etc. do not belong in a ring. The only purpose they could possibly have in a ring would be to suck Scott Steiner's dick.
Somehow the whole thing reminds me of Kip James-Christy Hemme. I wonder if WWE are gonna double-turn them as well.

He said they were the "lowest form of entertainment in the WWE" Really? In a company where any week has the potential to include the Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club and a midget running through imaginary holes in walls, women's wrestling is the worst thing going? I think not

Largely I'd agree with him, but that's indirectly an attack on Mickie, so he deserved what he got.

I don't see why Candice is being compared to Ashley etc. Candice is pretty good in the ring and has shown the inclination to get even better. In fact her rivalry with Beth Phoenix last year was one of the most entertaining Diva feuds I have seen in the WWE.

I agree with him, period..
no exceptions, either. Jazz was the only interest female character in WWE as far as I'm concerned.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NUDs2JOmdsHow were they behind him? They booed. However, yes, I marked out when he said that, not because I agree with him but because Santino vs The Women's division is a feud that sounds entertaining as hell.

I think the reaction was more like a Jerry Springer style 'OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!' then an actual pop.

I was there live when it happened and I can tell you that it was certainly more of a pop than ANY sort of "boo."
The reactions were a mixture of LAUGHS (the vast majority), CLAPPING/POPPING (around half--mixed with the laughs), Jerry Springer-like "OOOOOO, BURN!" (way over half--which was soon followed by the aforementioned half the arena clapping or popping for it), and some negative reaction (way, way under half).
I personally laughed and clapped in approval and looked around the arena to see people coming out of their seats, pumping the fist in approval, and shouting derogatory things about the divas, followed by that small group having their negative retorts to Santino's remarks. The initial reaction though, was pretty much 80-90 percent FOR Santino. I think everyone in my section had some form of pop for that segment.
I saw quite a few signs dogging on the divas too. Not to mention, no one cared anything about the diva match at Wrestlemania once Snoop had done his thing with the introductions (big surprise).
I could see one benefit coming from this: WWE puts a spin on the diva stuff for a little while promoting them as competitors instead of *only* meat. That will get them some pops, I think. I love good wrestling, male or female, and I think WWE could go this direction after last week's response/segment. Personally, I'd love to see Sara Del Rey, Amazing Kong, and Aja Kong come out in the middle of a giant 10-person diva tag match and put all 10 on stretchers (kayfabe). Then, I'd hope that was their one and only appearance before WWE had a chance to screw up that little gleam of awesomeness.

Besides Beth/Mickie/Jillian & Victoria, i agree with him Ditto. I don't like how the term "Diva" lumps the wrestlers in with the valets. I respect what valets do, but they shouldn't be considered in the same division as an actual wrestler. It's not like they do that with managers. It would be as if Bobby Heenan was included in the male roster of the WWF back in the 80's as a competitor.

What? she's only been injured 3 times. And one of them was Victoria's fault (broke her nose), one was a freak accident that could or not be blamed on Beth Phoenix (who was also injured by either Victoria or Mickie James) and the other was because she pulled a Cena and came back too damn early. It reminds me of people calling HHH injury prone when he only suffered two debilitating injuries 6 years apart over a 15 year span. Sure there was that weird pulled groin phase, but dude gets more flack than Edge who seems to get injured ever year.
