The new trend of TNA giving episode titles ("Prince for a Night", "Never Forget Samoa Joe", etc.) bugs the hell out of me. Are they trying that hard to make Impact look like a sitcom? What makes it even worse is that it makes it even more obvious that it's a pre-taped, pre-produced show, yet they try to give it the "live" feel by cutting to commercial in the middle of matches. It's unnecessary. Pretty much every show cuts for commercials during action moments or important parts, whether live or taped. I don't see how it's revealing or anything. What I mean is that they'll cut to commercial as something is happening in the ring. When WWE cuts away, it's usually during a break in the action, like somebody getting tossed to the floor. On Impact, you'll have someone hitting a series of moves, and just as it's picking up, there's a commercial break.

It's pre-taped, and pre-produced, so why would they cut down some already short matches by going to commercial?

The less commercials a show has, the more money the network can lose on advertising revenue. If TNA wants to have less commercials, I would think they haven't pay for it, or get some sponsors to do it.

If they want to show... the main event, for instance, as a whole... it would have to be sub 6 minutes. Spike runs a commercial at 10 or 11 to the hour. And it always runs for about 4 minutes. Thats an awful commercial slot to have when trying to run a wrestling show with a main event.

Also I think it plays into their "total non-stop action" creedo of matches always being full of action EVEN DURING THE COMERCIAL BREAK... atleast in WWE they show a big move that happened during the break..
