As we all know, professional wrestlers have all types of backgrounds such as boxing, MMA, football, and more. Alot of athletes from other sports transitioned to professional wresting and made a name for themselves there, such as Wahoo McDaniel, Ernie Ladd, and Ken Shamrock. So my question is, who from another sport would've made a good AND convincing professional wrestler..
Mike Tyson - The self-proclaim baddest man on the planet certainly lives up to his name inside and outside a boxing ring. At 6 feet and 220lbs of aggression, he would've bulldozed his way through the competition. He would've made a convincing WWE champion. Though if he still had those same demons outside the square circle, it could've/would've taken a toll on his career.
Tom Brady - He certanly has the look, size, and charisma for it. He would've gotten a big man push and tackle his way through the ranks.
Any athlete you can think of?

Patrick Vieira would have been a hell of a wrestler - tough, imposing, yet skilful and tricky.

Michael Strahan. Great personality...and obviously physically gifted.

Bo Jackson, I think he could have pretty much done anything.
Ali, had tons of charisma and he was a pretty big guy. I am sure he could have bulked up.

I think Warren Sapp would have made a great heel. Big...powerful...physical...and horribly cocky.

How about Wilt the Stilt Chamberlein? If he beefed up just a bit more, he would have towered like Big Show. He was a talker, too. He could have done great angles built around his prodigious sex life.

I think Warren Sapp would have made a great heel. Big...powerful...physical...and horribly cocky. And he was on the same Hurricanes D-Line as The Rock. A feud between them over who had the bigger impact at Miami would have been golden.

I agree completely with Bo Jackson. Talk about a guy that really could do anything he wanted. He also has a ton of charisma.
Michael Irvin would be a good manager that occasionally gets into the ring, I think. Although I am a huge Cowboy fan, so my opinion may be skewed.
Along those lines...Ed "Too Tall" Jones would have been good, too. He did try his hand at boxing for a while. It would have been an easy transition for him. Although I am not sure about his charisma/personality working out in wrestling.

A feud between them over who had the bigger impact at Miami would have been golden. Would he have called himself "The Sapp"? I can only imagine it now, The Rock vs. The Sapp - This Sunday on pay-per-view! I agree about Bo Jackson as well. Talk about overachieving. You can add Deon Sanders to the list as well.

Ahhh...Shockey will be another good one.
I say will be because it appears as though not many NFL are interested in him right now. Apparently he is a major locker room problem. He could probably thrive in pro wrestling!
Didn't Sapp actually beat out The Rock for that DE spot? For The Rock...that is nothing to be ashamed of!

I think The Rock moved to DT when Sapp arrived.

Shaq would have made a good wrestler. 7ft1 330lbs, great athlete and tons of charisma.

Kellen Winslow Jr. Brian Bozworth Rulan Gardner would have had a huge feud with Angel. Little Animal James Larinitus he still might become a wrestler if the NFL does not work out.

Dale f'n Earnhardt. Looks like someone who would have been great in the 70's: a roughhouse/technical style who would have been world champion at least 7 times over. He and Harley Race would have been knockdown/dragout brawl fests. Blood is guaranteed!

Andre Agassi had a ton of charisma. Maybe a cruiser weight. Dude could bench 300lbs so he could get big.

At Wrestlemania 2, William "The Refrigerator" Perry had a brief fued with Big John Studd. Would've loved to see a one-on-one match with those 2 titans.
