TNA + Friday Nights = Disaster. It'd be such a downgrade from SmackDown that it'd be a move that both CW and TNA would regret. Not to mention Spike likely suing the pants off of TNA for breaking their deal with them for Impact.

I'm pretty sure CW doesn't want wrestling on their network period. So it's a moot point.

I was gonna ask the same thing, mcmahon85.
What I wanna know is what would TNA provide that the WWE couldn't? Honestly, could they get higher in any particular demographic? If they can provide something the WWE can't that a network would give a shit about, then they're in contention. The fact remains they would be worse off than before.

Spike TV is the best place for TNA right now. CW pretty much wants to be a "serious" television network-i.e. they want to be a media giant like NBC or ABC. Therefore, a "low brow" program like wrestling does not fit into their target audience. Spike TV openly embraces wrestling. And right now, TNA is not financially strong enough to be ready to make a shot at another major network and end up going bust. Its better to err on the side of caution. They so openly embrace wrestling that they don't advertise it!

But hey, at least TNA taking the CW time slot fits right in with taking other WWE rejectz!

It would make no sense if this happend. CW is not bringing Smackdown back even though it is one of the top five rated shows on the network. the reason for this is the CW is not making much money and there two biggest hits are shows which appeal to young to teenage girls(One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl). The CW has noticed this trend and is revamping most of there network to appeal to young to teenage girls. Wrestling does not appeal to this audience. Unless young to teenage girls become wrestling fans overnight thw CW wants nothing yo do with any wrestling programing.

This is one of the least thought out threads in the history of the internet.
High rated wrestling show by the #1 in the industry gets cancelled. Question asked: Do you think the distant #2 company will be able to replace the slot with it's ratings no where near the cancelled show?

Okay, seriously, You know how when TNT canceled Nitro because it didn't fit with the Drama Network Image? This is one of those things. TNT didn't cancel nitro to put in RAW, it did it to fill the space with two hours of Law & Order. Likewise, The CW will probably fill this timeslot with well, let's say Buffy and Dawson got married and had kids. And Buffy stopped killing stuff. And Dawson became a famous movie Director, and they moved to one of the wealthier, hipper sections of Southern California, but not so wealthy that it excluded a few token non-Asian minorities, and let's say they had kids. Well, whatever they put in that time slot will be about those misbegotten spawn.
