WWE has low standards for women.....which leads to some of the fans having low standards as well. I mean, really....giving props to Maria for her in-ring work?? Seems like every time a random Diva learns a move or two she has "improved" and it's like earning your spot. What the HELL are they doing in the biggest wrestling company in the first place? Did they go there to learn their first wrestling move? What he said

Seriously, not to be mean, but Ashley is pretty horrible in the ring. She's too skinny to do anything legit, and her "big moves" always go in slow motion it seems. I feel sorry for people who have to face her and be patient and do all the work. Did you see her climb to the second rope to punch Jillian in the corner? Seriously, I think her crapty ring attire might even be a cause, but I could climb a second rope quicker than that. What about her lame ass Frankensteiner spot? She goes in such slow motion, I fear she is going land on her head and break her neck.

Maria put up a bit of a fight at least instead of the usual squash. Guess that signals she's improving. You saw signs of improvement? Well, she didn't break anything. That is a plus. No physical injuries in 12 DAYS. You may have a point. FIrst of all you are confusing Maria with Candace. Maria has never been injured. Maria did quite a few moves and it looked very believeable that she could beat Beth, even after Beth botched her texas cloverleaf move. This was Maria's best match to date. Yes , the Dia tag matach was garbage, but Maria/Beth was far from it.

Its not there fault they are being thrwon out there with no ablility. Instead of throwing your anger where it belongs and that is at Vince's feet, you choose to dog the women. They try really hard(with a probable exception of Ashley), and yes Maria has improved. She has improved as a whole and she deserves credit. So, what's wrong with giving Maria credit for her in-ring work? Oh, thats right, its not Mickie so its not allowed.

I obviously loved Mickie's comeback to RAW, for two reasons. First, she might be getting back onto her feud with Beth, even if it doesn't seem to be happening right away, and second, it now seems a lock she'll be wrestling on RAW next week, and that means I'm there watching her live. She blew me a kiss last time round, I'm hoping for another one.
Thankfully Beth is still looking strong, I was fearing after the tag match they had forgotten about their champion again.

I apologize for being "out of the loop" on this, but what's with all of the Ashley hate? She isn't the best wrestler in the world, but I don't think she's that bad... She could be in a broom closet and not even be the best wrestler in the room. In all fairness to her, those brooms had 5-star matches with Ric Flair.

Were you watching the same matches we were? I've defended a certain diva who had a botch-filled start, but who has got with the program in the last 3 or 4 months. But Ashley has been with this company nearly 3 years and I can't think of anything of merit she has. Being over will excuse a lot of things in wrestling, but she doesn't even have that going for her

It's one thing to say that Maria has improved, although I'd put that down to clever booking than to her actual skill, since all the moves on which she has looked good have been controlled by Beth or Melina. It's another to say that she's now good in the ring, because she's horrible and she's still going up against the women's champion when she can't hold up her end of the match. To say that she's even competent is to accept bad wrestling, and to have a different set of standards for the women.

Second of all, I was referencing to the sign they put up stating "NO INJURIES SINCE" and I do realize Maria's never been injured. Watching her try to wrestle is painful though. From her handstand / head kick thing which is idiotic looking to her inability to move with her opponent so she'll land cleanly, she doesn't need to be in a wrestling ring unless she's doing a bit. Not everyone can wrestle, she's an example of this. Seeing "improvement" is amazing when she's doing the same thing every time they toss her into the ring, BUT she's so well liked and "purty", she can do no wrong. Most of the Diva roster is guilty of this one. And I'm referencing Candace on that one.

Going for the extra bitchiness only girl matches include by turning it into a hair pull maneuver. A brutal looking one though.

I'm just glad to see divisions other than the top guys getting airtime.
Now if only they'd move the rest of the women to RAW, then[/i] there'd be a decent division...

Again, improvement does not mean Maria did well.
Most of the divas wrestle in slow motion still.

Yes, considering it took her forever to lock it in before she even executed the maneuver.
