Well, he has a "wrestling background", and at the very least is kind of a wrestling fan (from what I hear). Still though, his only roll would be to have the crap kicked out of him.

I'm "kind of" a wrestling fan too. Maybe they can give me money instead.

See what I did there? Calling him a TNA Star just to get you to read this. Damn it... you tricked me!! Honestly, I clicked the thread hoping for Monty Brown. Thats what I was hoping for too. I don't even watch TNA anymore but a Monty Brown return just to see the POUNNNNNNNNNNNNCE PERIOD! one more time would make me a very happy man.

and I'm a big wrestling fan so they should give me twice as much money as the "kind of" wrestling fans! Well are you a fan of TNA primarily or WWE? The answer to that would be crucial to how much you actually get paid. And... Johnny Fairplay? Where's those Nascar guys when you need em? ...what the hell did I just write?

I heard this rumor a few weeks back but now that Fairplay is off Survivor and any fame he could have possibly had is most likely gone. Can someone explain to me how Russo keeps a job?

www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/1203199500.phpFormer TNA personality Jonny Fairplay was telling people that he was going to sign a deal with TNA at this past week's Impact tapings, but multiple sources are saying that he has yet to sign a deal, reports prowrestling.NET. Nonetheless, Fairplay was telling people that he expects to be at the next set of television tapings. TNA president Dixie Carter is said to be a big fan of Survivor and believes Fairplay could help garner some mainstream attention for TNA. Fairplay and Carter watched Monday's Impact taping together at ringside, but were never shown on camera. Additionally, there's plenty of resentment among some of the wrestlers regarding Fairplay's possible return to the company. See what I did there? Calling him a TNA Star just to get you to read this. Seriously...why do you even bother coming in here anymore? To.....post?

Never heard of him. If this is Dixie's idea of starpower she's out of touch. He's the douche who made a name for himself on Survivor by lying about his grandmother dying. TNA signed him once (naturally) and it sucked a whole room full of dicks. However, WWE signed the F***ing Miz and pushed him, so I guess Fairplay is on his way back to answer that. The difference between the two is, while Miz isn't very good in the ring, but is remotely okay on the mic, Fairplay sucks at both. Expect him to be placed in some high-profile angle wherin he talks about himself alot, possibly in the third person. But at least The Miz wanted to be a wrestler and has (in my opinion) improved leaps and bounds, i've personally enjoyed his stuff since his debut. Fairplay just wants to be an annoying dick and just hang around it seems.

Does anyone actually remember what he did the last time he was there? hint: HE GOT HIS ASS KICKED! That's all he did! He got punked out by pretty much half the roster when there!
Oh, and the hypocracy here (TNA does it: "Crap! Oh my God! So Stupid!" ROH does the same damn thing: Awesome! They get publicity!") pretty much smells like 100% grade donkey crap.

I thought Shark Boy had his purpose.... And I don't remember the ROH fans going apecrap over Fairplay, in fact; I remember them being indifferent, if anything.

I think i recall them only liking the idea of Nigel lariating the shit out of Fairplay, and that was it.

The only reason we cared about Fairplay bringing ROH "publicity" was because they were going to be on VH-1. Carrot Top could have gone to ROH, as long as he brought television cameras.
The point is, we'd have gladly have someone bring ROH some public recognition, no matter how much who brought it sucks. Johnny Fairplay going to TNA, which has had its own cable tv show for three years (counting the FoxSports year), is an exercise in tedium and is completely unecessary.

Expect him to be placed in some high-profile angle wherin he talks about himself alot, possibly in the third person. Well The Miz has improved in the ring. He does get better as he has more ring time. He and Morrison have been great together. Just watch there Dirt Sheet deal WWE.com it some entertaining stuff. Fairplay has never trained to be a wrestler or is he great on the mic. TNA had him as paid him to do what? Dark match appearnces and he worth nothing. This is why TNA isn't making money. Because once they start to make even a little bite, they go and blow it on something useless. I mean TNA is not what you call smart business people. I'm surprised that there still in business because of business moves like this. I understand getting media attention. But who honestly gives a crap about Fairplay anymore? What as he done lately? nothing. Hell look at Pacman Jones good for TNA they got some media attention but didn't improve ratings or buyrates at all. Hell there best ratings happened without anybody like that on there show. Which was only a few weeks ago. That what TNA mistake is. They want media attention like the WWE gets. There problem is they bring in people who people could careless about. WWE brings in people who are on top. I mean they brought in Tyson when Tyson was worth a damn. They brought in Trump who had a hot TV show. They don't just bring anybody in that was famous. TNA hasn't been doing that.

While many fans probably hate this, keep in mind that Johnny Fairplay actually tried to help ROH by getting it a spot on a tv show, I think on VH1. Plus, while his being there was ridiculed by the commentators, he probably did more good then the other horrible messes that were mentioned by the commentators.

Idea for a segment: the "Johnny Fariplay repeatedly gets the s*** kicked out of him stunt spectacular", in which every wrestler in TNA, and hell even some of the knockouts and refs, take turns viciously beating Johnny Fairplay. That would get them a 2 i think You know, when I read the first post I was like "Johnny Fairplay? Why bring that guy back? What could he possibly contribute?" And then I scrolled down and saw this, and I'm now convinced. I heard this rumor a few weeks back but now that Fairplay is off Survivor and any fame he could have possibly had is most likely gone. Can someone explain to me how Russo keeps a job? I like this. Even when the first post tells you this is Dixie Carter's decision. Even though Dixie Carter is the head of the company and Vince Russo is just an employee of the company, that doesn't stop you from blaming it on Vince Russo.
