Could TNA ever challenge WWE?: I think TNA has a major hurdle to overcome — and that's the fact that they have no BRAND. There's no one on that roster that is branded TNA. You look at Kurt Angle and you think WWE. You look at Booker T and think WCW, five-time, five-time, five-time or King Booker in WWE. You look at The Dudleys and think ECW or WWE or even tables. You look at Samoa Joe, who should be the TNA guy, and you think this guy's great, when's he going to WWE. Are there hot moments? Sure. Are there personalities to like? Sure. Is there a good work rate? Sure. But there is no TNA style, TNA persona or TNA brand. ------------------------------
Is Heyman right? of course he is - its paul e. dangerously for crying out loud.

I think he's right.
As much as I have been enjoying TNA lately, there's no question in my mind that TNA is putting on a WWE style product.
TNA is not truly going to reach that next level until they start creating some stars of their own that will be the face of TNA to the general wrestling-viewing public. TNA has guys who are ripe for being the face of TNA, guys like Joe or Machismo. Hell, even Awesome Kong could be a representative of TNA because she is so different than every other woman in WWE or TNA.

I personally think the MCMG are very much "TNA brand" - even my friends who watch little TNA think of the MCMG when I mention TNA. Joe should be, Lethal will be, and if TNA continues the Knockout division strong, Awesome Kong will be.

Although I agree, I think they are working on branding people that.

Styles and MCMG are just two drops in a sea of uber-mega-stars. If they were pushed more as the faces (not in the wrestling sense) of the company then that would be teh awesomess.

Well, t he thing is, even though the MCMG are TNA "brand" guys, they're not out there enough for everyone to say "TNA=Shelley and Sabin". As great as they are, they're not in the main mix of the promotion quite yet.

I definitely agree especially with the "this guy's great, when's he going to WWE" sentiment. I really feel that way about James Storm and MCMG. I'd also really like to see Kazarian and Tomko back in WWE after being solidified in TNA as top name guys. I wouldn't mind seeing Christian back in WWE and soon aswell. He's always spot on when it comes to criticisms of other companies.

Totally an ex WCW guy Same with Chris Daniels...if he wasn't fired. And someone like Curry Man is too linked to New Japan... Hmmmm, I wonder why I mentioned Daniels and Curry Man in the same sentence. Weird.

AJ USED to be that face. Now, with Booker, Kurt, and Christian basically becoming the most recognized faces in the company, he's been pushed WAY into the background as a midcard comedy character, instead of the main eventer he should be.

Except you know I think with more name main event guys, AJ is in a great spot as an upper-card wrestler. Which is where I think he should be for the moment.

If we had the same AJ Styles from 2004-2005 today, feuding with these heels and ESPECIALLY against Team 3D due to the fact that AJ's main job was to protect the X-Division, then TNA would have their "TNA guy."
AJ Styles was TNA for the longest time, until he turned heel and eventually, became Christian's lackey.

I agree to an extent, but no TNA guys? when i think of AJ Styles, black machismo jay lethal and the MCMGs i think TNA.
I also see these guys being the stars of the future, and with a bit more of a push i see Roode and Storm joining them

This is the main thing wrong with TNA, that and it's general booking.
