Remember when Petey Williams was just some guy who did the Canadian Destroyer but wasn't much else? Well now he's a a funny body builder with the heart of a lion who teams up with the genetic freak Scott Steiner and still does the Canadian Destroyer. "Maple Leaf Muscle" Petey Williams seems to me to be another "hit" in the gimmick branding that's been going on in the X-Division as of late.

What the hell kind of way to sell the Destroyer is that? Was Sonjay acting as Shawn Michaels to Petey's Hulk Hogan with his ridiculous overselling?

At least he's back on my TV now. Although with his post-D'Amore weight gain, he seems do that finisher a lot slower now. TNA can make up for that by having Russo force a sombrero on him.

I like the character. It's like Chris Masters - steroids + talent. No matter what people say about the Canadian Destroyer, it's still awesome to see.

I still like to call him Make-Believe Muscle.
I honestly thought Sonjay had did something to reverse the move and was going for a pin when I first saw that Destroyer...of course, I was only half watching.

I find it funny how so many people said this gimmick would destroy Petey (same as how Black Machismo would destroy Lethal). Both seem to be doing a pretty good job in their respective roles.

I've always been a big Petey fan, so I'm in favor of the gimmick.
I do long for the day when he stomps a crotch and sings "OH CANADA!" once again though.

Always liked Petey Williams from way back when he was in Team Canada. I just hate his new RelliK style tights.

He has lost mobility, but he's gaining more charisma.

As someone who is really hitting weight training hard, one of my inspirations is Petey Williams, because Petey is a pretty much about my height, and is both quick and strong at the same time. I definitely don't think Petey is on the juice. I go to the gym, and I see people with their arms disproportionate to the rest of their body. Those guys are on the gas. Petey is cut, and isn't really THAT big. He's just got more defintion.
I also think it's great for the X-Division, because while the majority of heavyweight wrestlers look like Petey Williams, the majority Crusierweights don't. So Petey now stands out as being different from many of his counterparts.
So yeah, I'm definitely a huge fan of the Definition of Definition.

True, i think Scott used to be built the same way back in wCw except he had more mass. Now he's flopped with age and with his body not keeping up anymore.

He needs a new finisher, I love the Canadian Destroyer and he should still use it but he needs a move he can hit on larger opponents. Didn't he used to regularly use the Sharpshooter?
