I think Roode is doing alright. In the land where the top heels are jokesters and comedians, Roode is a good old fashioned heel. He gets the thumbs up. Makes perfect sense. He doesn't pull off pointless scripted one-liners in every promo. He's old school... he's just a black hole of charisma, but at least he isn't THAT generic I guess.

He's a work in progress. I see him being an upper mid card heel, popping his head into the Main event now and then but never carrying the show. But, as has been said, he's one of the few willing to go out and be a full on asshole heel. I enjoy him

I dig Roode. Thumbs up. Good look, good voice, good in the ring. If TNA had a solid Mid Card title, Roode should be first in line. Give him 2 years, and maybe we can talk World Champ.

wasn't that the basis of his "re-introduction" 2 years ago? him being groomed to be world champ.

Thumbs up if he didn't look like a frickin' hobo. For now, thumbs down.
I think after his feud with Booker, it might be mid-card job city for him.

Bobby Roode defines "boring".

He reminds of Shane Douglas. If he just dropped the F bomb every other word, he'd be my favorite wrestler. I marked for Shane Douglas of the old ECW. Robert Roode could be that good. So long as he stays in TNA.

Where did Peyton Banks put my dick and balls?
Wobert Woob is awesome. Great oldschool heel.

I like him, but his feuds seem to go on forever (the infamous long string of PPV matches with Eric Young and now the ongoing feud with Booker). I'm all for a promotion telling a story, but how long do midcard stories need to be?

Big thumbs up. He's a great old-school heel with the look, and the ring abilty necessary to get over. He does decent promos too. If he were in the WWF in 1989, I'd say he was a future IC Champion.

Thumbs up.
Aside from D'Amore (who isn't on TV enough), I thought that Roode was the money guy coming out of Team Canada. Petey had a great finisher, above average matches, but he was boring. Eric Young was showing flashes of not being boring, but he sucked in an X-Division role, and I didn't know he'd turn into the annoying TNA character for kids/Drinking Champion. Johnny Devine and A-1 were TEH SUCK, even though Devine's finally working his way out of 2004-07 jobberdom.
I thought the start of the Roode-Booker angle was pretty brilliant and well played, but damn if it didn't get lame pretty quick. Roode has cut some REALLY good promos, but his storyline progression...like his one with Eric Young makes little-to-no f***ing sense. When you look at his character on the surface, I sort of dig how he basically exists in TNA just to be a jerk to everybody (because he's the only "non-monster" guy in the company playing the true, old school heel), but there isn't too much rhyme or reason behind it.
I like Roode because he's an above-average younger heavyweight worker, and he constantly has to figure out how to make chicken salad out of chicken poop creatively. Plus, he wrestles like Curt Hennig, and I always liked Hennig.

I saw him rip-off the perfect-plex.
That's Robert Roode. Rip-off should be his middle name.

He needs a little polish on his skills, but other than that he's one of the better workers in TNA.

Hes really improved since working with Booker T. Hes good at playing the swarmy heel that gets under your skin. As others have said, too bad TNA has no midcard belt.

It's not a rip off, it's an homage.
