I just got off the phone with Konnan and he told me to make the following public: The lawsuit papers are now officially in the hands of TNA's office regarding racism toward Konnan. In addition to the main issue of him being held back due to racism and discrimination, Konnan also has other topics included in the lawsuit as well. Promises that were made to Konnan regarding his hip replacement are also a key subject addressed in the lawsuit. The fact that they said they would help him pay for the surgery and didn't, in addition to them not helping Ron Killings with his surgery, yet helped pay for Scott Steiners' recent operation, is also more leverage Konnan plans to bring up. Several names are mentioned including Jeff Jarrett, Dutch Mantel, Vince Russo, Terry Taylor, and others. WCW's old racial lawsuit has been mentioned as well to support Konnan's argument against Vince Russo and others. Drug usage within the "higher ups" in TNA are also mentioned. TNA now has thirty days to respond to the suit. Konnan stated that they can settle out of court or of course, go to court in which case he says things will definitely get "messy". WrestleZone.com will have much more on this in the coming weeks. In addition, we are planning on having a live 5150 with Konnan to discuss the issue further with the man behind the driver seat. We hope to get word from those involved on TNA's side of things, but they may be a little less "open", so don't expect it. But we will definitely do our best. www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=208073008

Like?
It's hearsay. Unless the man was secretly recording every conversation he had, he doesn't have much of a chance. He's basically saying if you give him money, this goes away.

Meh.
Just pay him then, no point in responding to it. Just send him a check and maybe some stock in Ric Flair Finance and call it a day.

He says he wasn't pushed cause of racism and discrimination?
OK, other than the fact that there are a bunch of people that didn't get pushed that were white, I don't think he was held back at all. He was a big part in Early TNA during the 3LK era, then leading LAX after the initial bump with the James Gang feud. I don't see being held back.
Plus, I never heard them give Steiner anything except Borash for company cause Dutch Mantell was scared he would be another Bruiser Brody.

^When's that gonna take off? I remember reading about that Superbowl week and I haven't heard anything since.
I'd just like to point something out here, and correct me if I'm wrong. Steiner's injury happened while he was working for TNA, so the company felt they were obligated to help him out. Konann's hip and liver situation was a result of steroid use (I believe he was a former bodybuilder). So, basically, Konnan wants TNA to pay for his surgery, when it didn't happen on their watch?

I believe Konnan is being represented by the same guy that handled the WCW racial suit. It should be interesting to see what the outcome is here. The belief is that Sonny Onoo and company cashed in big time from the WCW suit.

I see this one settling out of court, probably with both sides still upset over the whole thing.

From what I've heard from Konnan's shoots, I think he has legitimate grief here. I, for one, wish him luck.

This has actually been in the works for awhile. Konnan has also made claims of Monty Brown and Ron Killings dealing with racism.

It's funny cause TNA superstar Scott Steiner just headlined Konnan's AAA show last weekend. I agree with the person saying this will be settled out of court. Then Dixie will send Kurt Angle out to destroy the Mexican. Only she doesn't realize he's Cuban.
